Soaking up water in your kayak or canoe with a small sponge takes forever. Size up with the NRS Boat Sponges.
Both the NRS Boat Sponge and the Deluxe Boat Sponge help remove pools of water that your bilge pump leaves behind. The Boat Sponges also help get rid of rain water that pools on your kayak seat.

Must have in cockpit of any kayak
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Whether play boating, river running, or longer self support trips a good sponge is a must have to keeping the boat dry and clean. This sponge works fine. I find the trick is to keep it in a small mesh bag attached with a carabiner. That way it is always handy, you won't loose it as you don't have to take it out of the boat. Just find some old mesh bag (if you buy boating gear it often comes in cheap mesh bags you'll never use again), cut it to size, sew it up, and you're there! This is about the cheapest thing you can do to make your day on the water easier!

It's a sponge... nothing too exciting here. But worth bringing along, for a quick way to get extra water out of the cockpit, since it is very absorbent. With a water source to clean the sponge, it can also be used to quickly clean out mud and dirt.

Nice to have on board...helps keep the boat clean and dry...
A little stiff
Sponge works OK but a plain natural sponge would work better. Having the cloth over the top keeps it cleaner but does impede its ability to absorb.
