Straw or the Bilge Pump ... it's up to you.

Any boater will tell you that your rig isn't complete until you lash the NRS Bilge Pump to the deck or fasten it behind your seat. Sure, you could get a straw and do all the work yourself (over an extended period of time during which you'd get pretty tired, hungry, and cold), but we're pretty sure none of that would compete with the Bilge Pump's efficient water-pumping design, durable and lightweight aluminum shaft housing, and soft foam float collar.

Great pump
Great pump

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This pump worked great!! High volume. It pumps on the pull and push strokes. I'd give it a 4. I wish it came with a short piece of plastic hose to help the efficiency on shallow jobs. I used it on a weeklong canoe camping trip.

Delivery and product

The pump arrived on time and looked exactly like the item advertised. Feels solid and gives me piece of mind over my usual water gun bilge pump.

Efficient and Fun

I've had to use it several times after practice-capsizing my sea kayak. The volume is good and makes for a quick emptying. It also makes an excellent short-range water gun, though this tends to precipitate its further use after your target flips you...
