Thick rails, dry ankles.

The biggest board in the NRS lineup, the Baron 6 Inflatable Stand-Up Paddleboard takes the same versatile and buoyant design as the Baron 4, and ramps up the total air volume by adding 2 inches of thickness. The smooth lines and a massive 358 liters of volume provide plenty of room and flotation for heavy cargo, extra passengers, or 250+ pound riders.

Classic longboard features like the 2+1 slide-on fin setup and pintail blend with forward girth and a rockered, narrow nose to unleash the Baron 6's versatility on just about any waterway. Put the confidence-inspiring stability to the test by pressing your feet—and hands— into the foam deck pad during a balance-amplifying SUP yoga session. Drop-stitch PVC construction and the industry leading Leafield C7 value allow the 27.4 lbs board to inflate to composite-like rigidity, and deflate small enough to fit in the included carrying bag—you can pack the Baron 6 and all of the included accessories in your trunk and still have room for a cooler or two. When it's time to get the coolers out, bungee them down to the front of the board with the three durable D-rings and bring the party with you.

Awesome and Easy Set-up

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

My dad bought this SUP after my boyfriend and I tried to teach my family how to surf on a family beach vacation. We have yet to take it to the beach but on the river, this board is amazing. The set up time is less than 5 mins using the hand pump and the fins are removable so in case you go over rapids (like my brother and I did) you can take them out so they don't get lost/beat up. The treads on the board create a no-slip surface and the handles on the front and back make it easy to grab/tow things. One of the best things about it is that you can store it very easily. Just deflate and fold it up. It is also surprisingly light for it's size. It's easier to carry it with two people because of the sheer size but one person can definitely carry the SUP themselves. I'm a 5'8 135 lbs girl and I could carry it. This board works great for bigger people which was a main reason to buy it. My dad and "little" brother are 6'5 ~200lbs and it supported them fine. My older brother and I used it at the same time at one point (combine weight of 300+ lbs). The material is really sturdy; once the SUP is inflated you wouldn't guess it was an inflatable board. We shall see how it hold up over time but for now, I give it an A+

If you're going to spend a ton on money on a SUP, this is a good one. Sturdy, easy to move, easy to set-up, and way too much fun.
