Great Buy

When I received the shoe I thought it was not good but wait till you use it. Its so light but so tough and it complements my helmet with the same color. It really improves my pedaling technique specially on up climb due to its soft and comfortable pads. Really a good buy for this price.

Is this shoe compatible with Speed Play Zero action Pedals?

Responded on

No the Speedplay Zero Action will not work on this shoe as they are a 4 bolt cleat rather than the 3 hole offered here.

Responded on

I bought these and put Speed Play Light action pedals on using the 3-bolt to 4-bolt adapter that comes with the pedals. I assume this is similar for Speed Play Zero action pedals...

(It may be too late for original poster but others might be interested)

Responded on

Yes you can use any speedplay pedals with these. Speedplay's come with an adapter that allows you to use a 3 bolt shoe. While Arthur Debowski is correct that speedplay's use a 4 bolt pattern, the adapter fixes the problem. The adapter comes with every pedal/cleat.

Here is a vid from speedplay showing how to install them:

Great Pair of Shoes

Got size 46, same size as my older specialized pro carbon shoe. Fit is similar in my opinion. Quality and styling are great. Love the air vent in front of the shoe. No issue in winter/fall rides with a shoe cover or toe cover on cool rides. Toe box has room, so if that is your complaint with Sidi then I would suggest give NW a ride. FYI, got the white pair and love the looks/design,fit, etc.

What US size do you wear in normal/running shoes? You said you got a 46 eur, Northwave says you would wear a 13 US....?

I wear a 12 US and I am trying to decide what to get.

Thanks!

I wear a 12 in US sizing

Great value

These shoes are a great value for the price. The quality seems pretty close to my friends Sidi Carbon shoes. The fit is pretty similiar to those Sidis, but with a roomier toe box. Still snug but not tight. The color is pretty cool, but is closer to a lime green vs the fluorescent yellow it looked like on my monitor. The other thing is the sizing with Northwaves. The chart is a little off from the other manufacturers which made me a little reluctant. I'm normally a size US10. Im a 43 in the Sidis. The chart for the northwaves show a US10 as 42.5. I went for it and they are pretty true to size. Dont be reluctant. Go for it!

I'm a US10 and ordered a northwave 44. Fit great. Tried a 44.5 as well but too big. The sizing chart did throw me off so I wanted to try out in person. Worked out well.
