Your pilling synthetic baselayers have seen better days, and you know it. Before you attempt another tour or day at the resort with stretched out long johns, do yourself a favor and replace your old stuff with the Norrona Wool Longs. Made with a blend of soft, supple merino wool and nylon, the Wool Longs will regulate your temperature when you break a sweat skiing powder on a frigid morning and ensure moisture continuously moves away from your skin so you stay dry. The added nylon fibers help the pant hold its shape over the course of the day, and a wide, flat waistband lies comfortably against your skin without pinching or slipping while you move.

My favorite long underwear.

Excellent temperature regulation. As warm as they need to be on cold days, but won't cook you when it goes blue. Breathe well. I've worn them a half a million times and they aren't showing signs of wear. Comfortable fit, they don't bunch up, but aren't too tight either. I have other pairs of long underwear, but these are the ones I choose again and again. Would definitely buy another pair.

These are lightweight wool long underwear. They have a bit of nylon in the mix so hold their shape a bit. I wish they had I bit of spandex in the mix like most of my wool socks do. The fabric doesn?t stretch quite enough if I lift my leg high. The leg fits tight at the calf and when I lift my leg the fabric doesn?t have any stretch over the knee it seems. If I pull the bottom hem of the pants up my calf so that the leg is a bit baggy around the knee, then I can lift my leg fine. Pros: waistband sits at hip bones. If you like high rise long underwear these aren?t it, but I prefer a lower waist. High quality stitching/fabrication. No front flap. I know some people like a flap, but I always seem to manage without it. They are somewhat tailored to a man; there is no seam running right up the middle of the crotch like some brands. Not itchy at all as far as I have noticed. I have an icebreaker wool top that itches when I?m too warm. Cons: Run smallish, but long. I?m a large in these, medium in other brands with a 32? waist. So best for taller/slimmer people. Pretty lightweight for 99$. I think they?re 170g weight? As mentioned I wish this and other wool base layers had a bit of stretch in the fabric like all my wool socks do (icebreaker and smartwool all have a couple % spandex in the mix)
