That one is a greta piece of gear that will keep you warm in most cold conditions. I bought it ti use andre a shell or as a standalone piece and it fulfills my expectations.
All sizes are strict European, so M is S for the USA.
There is some cons:
-back panels are not windproof and you will feel it
-stretch fabric on hands is really not durable - minor catch on some surface and you got a string out ((

Minimal wind resistance. Very nice, warm fleece. Highly recommend for warmth layering. Size, though, runs much smaller than anticipated with athletic, slim cut. I am a small-sized woman and a large fits me perfectly with room to layer underneath as I would think was intended.

I love this thing. It zips up for a tight compression of your torso. I bought a medium but think I should have gotten a large or the length and extra layering. I'm 5'9" weigh 157lbs with a wide back. It feels great and its really warm.

Not sure why I thought I'd be able to fit into this after reading the other reviews, but it is TIGHT. I'm 5'8", 165lbs- normally a medium is perfect. This thing fitted like shrinkwrap- and not flatteringly. It's also a lot floppier? than I expected. The picture gives the impression that its a sturdy fleece, but the reality is that the neck is made for giraffes and it doesn't really hold it's shape well either. I'm returning it.

Yes the material is very similar to the Monkey Man. If you look at the size chart it will show heights to go along with size. That should give you a general idea of what size to buy.

This product must run small. I'm 6' 170 and between a medium and large, ordered the large and it is way too tight. My girlfriend who is a medium in women's fits the jacket perfect.

The sizing of this shirt is nothing short of ridiculous! I dig the looks of the shirt and really wanted it. I'm a girl and after reading some of the reviews figured a men's large would fit. It was too small in the hips, so I ordered the XL. When it came, it was almost laughable. I could have had bowling balls for boobs but wouldn't have been able to zip this up unless my hips were 20". I want to meet the person that fits into this shirt. He or she would literally need to be triangle shaped. I have, regretfully, had to send this back twice.........

This garment is for men not for women. If you like a tight/slim fit then Norrona is for you.

With all due respect you can't be angry as you purchased one of the most athletically cut mens brands out there. I purchase Norrona simply because it is the slimmest, most athletically cut stuff on Backcountry.
I purchased my 'normal' size and it fits perfect, as I have an athletic cut body. 38" chest, 30" waist... Fits great with plenty of room in the waist area.
