The Norrøna Men’s Stranda Insulated Pant uses clo synthetic fill to add plenty of warmth without creating a bulky pant that you can’t move in. To keep the freedom of movement going strong, Norrøna also added articulated knees. The clean lines work for skiers who don’t want some crazy look that may be out of style by next season. Thigh venting helps you stay cool when the day turns out to be warmer than you expect. Plus, these durable pants include ankle reinforcements to keep you from slicing up the fabric with your freshly sharpened skis.

How insulated are these pants? I'm looking for a solid ski

How insulated are these pants? I'm looking for a solid ski pant but not an insulated pant, I may be willing to get these if they have very little insulation.

Question for Dakka that seems to have the large one, do you know the waist size?... would a "jeans size" 36 be similar to this ones?

These pants don't seem heavily-insulated; they're not heavy or bulky. Haven't gotten to try them out to see how warm they are though.

Size wise, I'd say the sizing chart is a bit off. I'm about a 31" waist, 5'11, 160, I figured I'd try the small based off the chart. The waist itself is a little bit tight, and the hips and butt are very tight, and constrict my movement. Should have gone for the medium.

Awesome pants though, it's a shame they didn't fit. Materials seem high quality, lots of nice little details to them.

Just throwing this out there to anyone who cares:
Size large:
Inseam: 34"
Outseam: 44" Leg opening: 22"
Nice "park" cut on these without overkilling the baggy factor.

Norrona's insulation tends to be warm for the weight and bulk. I'd go with one of their shell pants if you don't want an insulated pant. Then again, if you buy these and they are too warm you can return them no questions asked.
