This is great mid - heavy layering piece, or use standalone in spring or fall. It will block most winds save for when it's gusting. The material allows for great range of movement and breathes very well. The chest pockets are deep and can fit oversized items with ease. They are mesh lined so they double as vents when you need to dump heat.
The fit is typical of most Norrona products, long and lean. I'm about 6'1", 200lbs with a muscular build and wear a 42r jacket. The large fits me pretty trim, however the sleeves are bit long. I have a Falketind shell and it's the same thing. However it's okay, as the extra length ensures I don't have to stretch the sleeves out to get the hand gaiters over my thumbs. The collar is also pretty tall, so if you are layering a shell or insulation on top, just beware that this might peek out a bit. The tall collar and the zipper pull can get caught when zipping up an outer layer. It's kind of a pain especially if you have heavy gloves or mitts on. Just take the zipper pull off and you should be good.
I've been living in this thing most of the winter and while it seems to be holding up well, I plan on getting another as soon as they're back in stock.

Love this fleece; it's classy, very warm for it's weight, and the fit is perfect for slim body types with tone. I am 6'2", 175 lbs, well-toned and it's fits like a glove.
Really versatile!

Maybe the most versatile fleece I own (and I own a lot). Nice temp range and very windproof. Very breathable. I XC/Downhill, fly fish, road and mtn bike and wear it everywhere else. I own 3 in case they stop making it. The fit is athletic, but the material is stretchy. So comfortable, so functional, so good looking!

These sizing charts are whack. Yes I understand it is European, but who is 6'2 with a 44" chest and 26" sleeve length. And it happens to have a 40" waist. Oh, I get it it's made for an Alligator that can't reach his wallet to buy this jacket.

Hi nsap,
The waist size I cannot comment on, although I think that's the max. waist size the garment can handle. Norrona does the sleeve length measurement from the top of the arm to the wrist/base of the hand. This jacket is a very close fitting, athletic cut.
For reference: bought an XL - I'm 6'2", 45" chest, 36" sleeve (26"sleeve in Norrona measuring format), 36" waist, 210lbs. Very trim - fits perfectly!

Hi
I am not sure which size to get in the Narvik warm 2 stretch jacket. I am normally a medium but have heard that this jacket comes up small. I am 6ft tall and weigh about 175lbs. Any ideas?

Hi
Just bought this jacket. I'm 6ft 2in and 175lb and the large fits great although I do have long arms. Also the colours a little different then the pic, its actually a petrol blue.

Thanks for your input. I got both sizes in the end and found the large to be a little to roomy. The medium was perfect - arm length was just right and the body length was OK - came just below the belt line. Also, I preferred the tighter fit from the med - not tight but not as slack as the large.

As of today all prices of new norrona gear went up 10%, which now makes the norrona website cheaper and that is with with $20 shipping to u.s. and duties. WTF?

Hi Kara,
No scam going on (Norrona's site does not account for tax & duty so when you look at their site it's misleading)...just the unfortunate cost of getting this stuff into the US from Europe for our customers (we are the only US retailer you can get it from on the web or in a brick n' mortar).
Thanks for your question Kara & for your involvement in community!
Cheers,

FYI, guys -- the Norrna website themselves raised prices on most things by 10% at the end of July (when the new fall/winter collection was unveiled.
Also, I live in the US and both times I got shipment from Scandinavia directly from Norrna (it actually originates in Sweden and then goes to Denmark and Germany before it flies to the US) no one charged me any additional fees/duties or taxes. I didn't have to sign for anything, and my packages were left in my front yard. Also, they combine shipping. So, it's 20 bucks even for multiple items.
