These are perfect ski pants...I just spent 10 days in Aspen - temps in the 0's. These pants kept me warm the whole time. Great fit, too.

I used it at Snowmass and Aspen Highlands for 5 straight days at 16 degrees. They kept me worm all the time. I'm 5'10'' 175 lbs and medium fit perfectly.

Awesome pants. I ordered both colors here (Caviar & Birch Green) as well as the Purple ones that Backcountry apparently doesn't carry anymore (was forced to find elsewhere). The green is definitely a highlighter green (the pic above looks a bit pale). Caviar is nice, but I wish all of the zippers were yellow instead of that dark blue color. Also, on the black, the yellow zippers and logo are different shades of yellow (one is highlighter yellow, the other is a much duller shade)... kind of annoying.

The fabric seems durable and the thin layer of insulation inside the leg gives it some added comfort and warmth over the standard 3L shells, which are more expensive. We'll see how it holds up this winter.

The fit is relaxed, but not as much as, say, Patagonia shells (which fall off my behind). It's fitted just enough, and the waist straps allow for a wide range of waist sizes.

Sent the black back, kept the green and purple.

Just to go along with tra's review, these pants do indeed have waist adjustments:

As of today all prices of new norrona gear went up 10%, which now makes the norrona website cheaper and that is with with $20 shipping to u.s. and duties. WTF?

Hi Kara,

No scam going on (Norrona's site does not account for tax & duty so when you look at their site it's misleading)...just the unfortunate cost of getting this stuff into the US from Europe for our customers (we are the only US retailer you can get it from on the web or in a brick n' mortar).

Thanks for your question Kara & for your involvement in community!

Cheers,
