Unanswered Question

Hi, I just bought these gloves in Medium and they seem to be a little snug. I do have the 1/4

Nice gloves, not the warmest

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I tend to have cold hands, so I found these gloves alone were only good to about -5C to -8C for me. After that I added a thin glove liner underneath. Below -12C to -15C I had to add a over mitt for extra warmth and wind protection on the chair lifts nearing the summit. Skied 5 days at Big White over New Years, carrying my entire family of skies to ski school and didn't get any cuts on the palms at all. Great dexterity and water proof, fits well under my Norrona ski jacket sleeves. Love the wrist leashes as well. Sizing as per their charts is perfect, my 19cm long hands (wrist to 3rd finger tip) fit the medium perfectly.

Hard to go wrong with these

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I had an older model of these gloves as my heavy handwear for two weeks of February skiing in the Italian Alps. They were brilliant in the cold and blowing conditions that I encountered between 2000-3500 meters.

My hands were kept warm and dry at all times. Perspiration was so well-managed that, even after several days of use, the gloves never got funky enough to wash.

These gloves are also fairly dextrous for their size, and the goatskin palms provide a confident grip. Note that I am 5'7" with smallish hands and the medium size fits me with just a bit of slop.

Highly recommended!

Great gloves

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

These gloves are quite warm and comfortable. Great grip as well. We've had a lot of sub-zero temps this winter with wind chills up to -40F. They haven't failed me yet.

Excellent ski gloves

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

These gloves are thin and light, but are truly warm. My hands are good testers of that because I have two fingers chopped off (accident) and the stumps are sensitive to cold. These gloves have excellent grip. Overall, they are tougher and warmer than they look.

Stellar gloves

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

Ive spent about 10 days in these gloves in Beaver Creek, CO recently and im impressed with them. Most days recently it has been 10-20 degrees and windy on the mountain, two days it was dumping/powder-day and I have no complaints with the Dri1 Short. I usually carry glove liners and hand warmers when its below 15 but I never had to consider using that backup plan, these are very warm. After a few days of wearing them ive gained pretty good dexterity but its not the best. I wear size L in Swany and Mountain Hardwear but ordered XL based on the Norrona sizing chart and they fit great. Great fit 'n finish im becoming a bigger Norrona fan all the time.
