Best pack I've ever had or seen!

By:
September 8, 2011

My other two packs are Osprey (Aether 60 and Kestral 28) and they are good, but I thought I'd chance Norrona to see if they had it. This pack was the perfect size and had all of the features I was looking for so I went for it. I must say that no pack has ever impressed me as much as this one does. Norrona jumps out far into first place ahead of Osprey on this.

It's simple, scandinavian, stylish, comes in this beautiful bright green, and so well engineered! I haven't found one thing that I could possibly suggest that they do differently. I'm completely blown away! It's really durable.
Inside there is a pocket with an elastic top for your hydration system. There is a large pocket for you snow shovel+probe. If you aren't skiing backcountry a jacket fits great there. There is a zippered top compartment for goggles or wallet. There is also a key clip.
I'm really sad backcountry decided to stop carrying it. (The thing sold out... hello? People really liked it.) It's the best kept secret in the day pack, ski/snoboard pack world! But you can still order it from Norrona in Norway. I did. You should too. (oh, and it's not that expensive, but even if it was $160, I'd still consider it worth it!)

Great Pack but I wish it had more pockets...

This pack is a great size for day trips, it has a few gear loops on it so you can strap extra things to the outside if necessary. There is also an internal pocket that fits my goggles perfectly. There are also two extra interior pockets, one that would hold a hydration bladder perfectly, and another that fits a shovel and probe. Here's a picture of the ski carry.
