Bottom Line: We have no clue what Nansen means, but we’re betting it has something to do with being windproof.

Eric,

I would say that the fit is very similar to Arc'terex jackets. Many of the reviewers on the site think that the arms are a bit longer then most other jackets on the market. Overall Norrona makes very high quality products that are built to be worn in tough conditions.

Very high end jacket

By:
October 30, 2009

Was a little skeptical to purchase this jacket but I am glad I did. Its features are all very high end. It is extremely light weight and you barely even feel it on you. Gore windstopper gives you good water resistance, decent breathability, and excellent wind protection. Pit-zips are a really great feature.

The sleeves are a little long which is my only complaint but there are there for climbing purposes.

Munra Point

A frigid cold winter night in Oregon's Columbia River Gorge. All I'm wearing underneath this is a lightweight Icebreaker short sleeve t-shirt and I was totally protected and warm.

Anyone use this as a running jacket? Looks like it may work

Anyone use this as a running jacket? Looks like it may work well for windy winter running, anyone have any experience with gore windstopper and how well it actually breathes while running or exercising?

This shell is so easy to move around in, it's light and I can't tell you enough great things about how sweet this soft shell crushes the mountain!

any backcountry employees that have seen this jacket? I really

any backcountry employees that have seen this jacket? I really like it but am looking for more feedback than two replies. It appears light, so I'm assuming its pretty forgiving if you had to add underlayers. I've seen one person that used this for the slopes but I was wanting more feedback on this. I like the colors too, just wish there were more choices....any help here?

nice jacket, mean price

By:
January 4, 2009

Sure is a nice jacket, yet for the price, it is frighteningly disappointing. As it turns out, this jacket does not allow you to run faster, which is what I was expecting after emptying my wallet on it. There are other jacket by companies more reputable than this company that offer the same specs for half the price, and offer a lifetime warranty to boot, instead of a piddly five year one.
