Breathable warmth for the active.
The Norrona Women's Lofoten Warm² High-Loft Jacket makes an excellent addition to your wardrobe whether you want an extra layer to ski in, a breathable jacket to climb in, or a stylish fleece to wear around town. While the Polartec Thermal Pro body provides a lot of warmth for the cold days as well as excellent breathability, Polartec Power Dry at the underarms and sides lets moisture escape so you stay dry. This jacket offers an extraordinary warmth-to-weight ratio for a fleece jacket, along with unique European flair that's the hallmark of this backcountry.com exclusive brand.
A slim fit pulls the Lofoten Warm² close to your body for easy layering, and the Y-sleeves prevent the jacket from riding up when you reach through technical cruxes on your route. Norrona integrated an inner hand gaiter into the sleeves to keep your palms warm, and thumbholes prevent the sleeves from bunching up under an outer layer. There's a pocket on the sleeve and two pockets to keep your hands nice and toasty at the belay stations. Norrona's products are sold in the US exclusively by backcountry.com, so you're more likely to stand out on the mountains with utterly unique style that doesn't compromise quality or functionality.

Loved my Norrona so I got one for her
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
Sorry for bad review title but I ran out of room! I have a trollveggen warm2 that I love so I bought this as a gift for my partner. It doesn't seem as warm as the trollveggen due to the breathable side panels but that might be appreciated during Spring bouldering or up on the wall at our freezing cold gym. I also wish the pockets were a bit higher up to accommodate a harness like the trollveggen has. She says it is very warm and plans on using it as a mid layer, but after a few uses and inspecting the construction I wish I had bought her the Trollveggen warm2 or even the roldal warm3 as she runs very cold.
Super thin not worth the $
- Gender: Female
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
I returned this item. The material was very thin, not cut out for a NH winter. The jacket itself was not flattering at all when on. I am a curvy/athletic frame.
Warm, soft, great fit!
This is a great fleece!! It can be a layer for snow sports, or a jacket for west coast winters. It is very warm (though a strong wind might get through the material), very soft, and fits great (allowing for a layer underneath). Overall a really nice buy!! The green is a wickedly bright colour - part of why I bought this - and I love it!!
Worth the money
This fleece is expensive, but it really rocks. It's perfect if you have to do alot of layering. It's thin but powerful, and it also looks real nice on. Love the way the wrist wraps around your thumb cuz it really does help to keep and seal the warmth in. Treat yourself and buy this fleece!
Best fleece money can buy
This jacket gives you more than just the good looks, it's the best, most versatile fleece money can buy. It's extremely light weight, yet the Polartec Thermal Pro High Loft is the most fluffy and therefore insulating material in the market. Last week, we had an early season snow storm, and the temperature was below 20 degrees in the afternoon, I wore it with a short sleeve shirt and a very light shell, and I was warm.
The jacket fits like a dream. Length is long enough that when you bend over, your back will still be covered. Length of arm is perfect, just long enough for me to use the thumbholes. Width of the arms is great too, not loose (compare to their Trollveggen Warm2 p/o) but has enough room to layer about 2 l/s shirts under if necessary. Best of all, it's got a very functional neck. When fully zipped, the collar is tight enough that cold air won't seep in, yet it won't choke you either. It does not have a drawcord at the bottom hem, but I can feel an internal elastic band that runs inside the hem seam, so it still seals in warm air, yet without the bulkiness of all the cords and cord locks. It's got 2 hand warmer pockets, and a bicep pocket. For comparison, I'm 5'6", 110 LB, and I bought an xs. The 'Norrona Green' is an awesome color. The jacket is very good looking, I plan to use it for snowboarding, backpacking due to its extreme light weight, and any around-the-town casual wear.
