All the protection. None of the bulk.

The Lofoten Gore-Tex Short Glove is Norrona's lightest, thinnest, most breathable, and most waterproof freeride ski glove. Norrona equipped this glove with a waterproof, breathable Gore-Tex membrane for snowy skies and powdery rides. Primaloft Gold is the benchmark in insulated performance, with superior softness, packability, water-resistance, and warmth. Norrona's flex 1 fabric offers stretchy dexterity, moisture management, and wind-resistance. Norrona added a wrist leash to keep the glove close at all times, and the glove's short profile fits nicely under your shell's sleeve.

    Good so far

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I've used these down to 17 degrees - Super happy with the fit and the construction - Kept my hands warm...

Very solid and of course it matches my Norrøna Lofoten Jungle Fever jacket! (isn't that most important?!)

    so far so good

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Splurged on these b/c I can't find really warm gloves.
Our winter has been mild so I couldn't give a comprehensive review. What I can say is that they breath excellent, dry fast and are fine down to 15 degrees. May be solid at colder temps., I can't say, it has been such a mild winter I haven't gotten to test them yet.
    Nice product, really really pricey.

    You had me at green.

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: XL

I've used these gloves in both 60 and 20 degree weather. I would have to disagree with some of the other reviewers as these gloves did not keep my hands as warm as I would have liked in the 20's. I find the wrist straps extremely functional and a better design than any other glove I have owned. On 60 degree days I just flick them off on the lift.

I should have bought the mitts for warmer hands but I am very happy with these gloves, their color, style and functional aspects.

    Well worth the price

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

Even if these gloves are pricy, to my opinion, they deliver. I've used them while playing outdoor hockey at -28 C with ease. I used them also in telemark skin mountain ascension. The wind proof is no lie, and the leather palm and the overall construction make this gear one of my favourite.

    cold temps no problem

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

Went out yesterday in -7F temps and my fingers did not freeze off. I did not use any extra liner and my fingers did get colder from time to time but that can be expected at that low of a temp, but overall I was impressed. Fit is great and the wrist loops should be on every glove out there.

    Very Impressed

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

I was very skeptical when I first put these on. yes, they fit nice and look great but they are very lightweight, I thought "there's no way these will be warm enough". But they have primaloft and gore-tex, which is like saying it has gold with diamonds.... So i gave them a chance. I spent all day outside in 10-15 degree storm weather lapping pow and I didnt think even for a second about my hands. They were perfectly comfortable the entire time. I highly recommend these. they are lightweight, not bulky, have awesome wrist straps, stay very dry, are warm and breathable. Awesome product Norrona!

Never hot, never cold, never wet. The Big Plus is the fact that these can be tethered to your wrist via a comfortable elasticated wrist-strap. No more dropped gloves from lift chairs and having to stuff your gloves in your pockets at a bad time! Thoughtfully designed and made of Gortex. Nuff said? Oh...and the blue is a nice colour too!

Having never heard of this Norwegian company, I was skeptical. But then again, they live in the snow practically year around, so I pulled the trigger, and I was glad I did! This is one of the best fitting gloves I have tried on, fits true to size (I have 7.5" length and 8.5"palm) and the Large fits quite literally like a glove. One of my favorite things are the fact that they payed attention to the important things I was looking for: Gore-Tex was a must, PrimaLoft (I hear its good), wrist leash (a must, how do all gloves not have these?), leather palm, and slim profile with good articulation (I hate big bulky gloves that might as well be mitts). These have a small gauntlet which is meant to be incorporated with wrist gators (another thing that all Jackets should have now).

I am really stoked for these gloves and I am going to Durango , CO in March. So I will let you guys know how they do when I get back!
