cool design, good fit but rather short inseam (i´d guess 31-32) - i´m 5'11 and usually wear a size 10 - got the large as i intend to use it as a rain/stormshell over hiking/ski touring pants, very light & packs down small

I have searched for the perfect gore-tex pant for ice climbing. I am 5'8",and I wear a size 8 but I have a woman's figure...meaning there is a difference between my waist and my hips! I also have some pretty strong legs. These anatomical features of mine make it difficult to find a pant that fits in the waist and hips, while allowing me to get my feet up really high...I also want a pant that looks great, is not too heavy, well made, etc. FOUND IT! These pants are solid. Way better than all of the Arcteryx that I own. They have an adjustable waistband and belt loops, shock cord loops and boot hook. Smallish crampon protection patch, but more importantly they are slightly tapered down at the bottom so you don't have all that excess fabric flapping around waiting to trip you. Great length. I ordered the medium and the large. I tried them both on a zillion times with different weight long underwear and finally went with the large. I could have easily gone with the medium if I was just going to wear them for ski touring or general mountaineering. But for ice climbing with my warmest long underwear, I felt I needed the extra room so I could get my knees up as high as possible with no restrictions. They will be a bit baggy around the hips and butt, but they still look better and are made better and function better than anything else I own at this point.
