Me, too

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

Yeah, what they all said: warm, soft, super comfy, "athletic fit but not ass tight." I'm not sure I need something this warm (or expensive) but now that I'm wearing it I don't think I can bear to send it back. Great high-pile fleece. Really nice for around the house (just got it and it's early spring) and would probably keep me darn warm in the winter.

HI Alep, thanks for your comments about this hoodie. I wanted to ask how much warmer the Warm4 up cycled is compared to the Warm3 roldal? Also are the cuts the same for the same size? Thanks

ULTRA SOFT -Just perfect

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

as far as fleeces go..... If you want real warmth, down is your only option), but this is a 'wear it around town" solution. Down is not actually fun to wear,; its functional. This is like wearing the most plush blanket everywhere with you. I own the warm 3 and it is 1/5th as soft as this one (Go with this one :) ).

It's pretty darn wind resistant (for a fleece), but I would not wear it on a cold windy day without a shell. This piece gets worn more than anything else I have.

Upcycled Awesomeness

I am amazed by the ability to take a used plastic bottle and spin it into fibers that are so luxurious and practical.
I am 5'11", 200 lbs, 46" chest and built like a linebacker. The large has a relatively relaxed fit on me because this is a more casual fleece than a technical one.
I also have the Trollvoggen Warm2 fleece but needed the XL in that style to fit me.
I purchased this as a casual winter jacket for cold, dry days and it is perfect. Plus I like to tell people that it is made from recycled plastic bottles after they feel it. Mind blown. Upcycling is a no brainier!
It is my favorite casual jacket. Only negative is the Norrona zippers, wish they were a little burlier.

favorite fleece

This is for the casual "I want to stay warm around town, but also comfortable to wear at the house and fall asleep in." Fleece. It is cut low (down to the bottom of your butt) and has two draw cords around the waste to keep the wind out. To answer the question of why this doesn't have a draw cord around the head: because this jacket is for yuppies. This is just a really comfy casual thick fleece. If you want to have it tight around the head, pop your shell over it (you know, the one with all of the head adjustments). I like this fleece because the neck goes up to your nose (to block out the wind). I really like the fit too because it is athletic, but not ass tight. this would be a great mid layer in a blizzard, or perfect to drive down the that rugged star bucks in the range rover in northern California (in November). I'm doggin' on this jacket a bit, but the fact of the matter is that it is the most comfortable one I own :)

Hi there ,
strange norrona did not include a elastic cord with cordlocks to tighten the hood in front.

- > Though i just noticed there is a fabric strip ,
on the inside edge of the hood .

If it forms a hollow "tube" , would it be possible to retrofit an 2-3 mm elastic cord w/ cord locks ?
Seem like a fairly easy sewing challenge .

Although it would seem strange to have to do this to brand new piece of clothing ...

Finally a great athletic fit in a jacket

I am 196cm with a 208cm fingertip-to-fingertip wing-span and the Large is seriously the first *great* fitting jacket I've bought ... probably ever.~42" chest and 34" waist this is long enough both in body and arms but doesn't billow around my body like all my other jackets.
I needed another warm vest sitting around at night around 2-5deg C but this guy worked very well with just a lightweight long-sleeved shirt underneath at those temperatures when doing some trail walking in windy conditions.
Definitely a good choice for activity in cold snowy temps if I add a thicker merino layer!

The description says that there is no hood; however, the Norrona site has 360 degree view of the jacket and it appears to have a hood... A little help?

Hey tyl2777868,

Thanks for the question and letting us know about this issue. I checked with Norrona and found that this jacket certainly has a hood. We'll get that content fixed ASAP.
