- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
They had this one around for 2 seasons and I will miss this Sweatshirt; it was my favorite product from Norrona. Not sure if they are going to bring it back in the future, but it will be missed. P
My favorite layering piece

- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Try Norrona it is some good stuff especially if you are tall and skinny (6'2" 175). This jacket has excellent fit, quality, and little details that are nice. Very good under a true under softshell like Powershield Pro. Wore on a recent hike in Rocky Mountain National Park to a frozen lake at 10,000' while the wind was whipping down off the divide. It was perfect and the hood are collar are really nice. I already think less of Patagonia and Marmot after discovering this brand. Some of the stuff from Norway and England is actually better.
My personal favorite as well

This is easily the best fleece Norrona has ever come up with, probably the best on the market right now. i have tried hundreds of fleece jackets of all brands and nothing comes close. very versatile, too. I feel the same way Seth does. I use it for skiing, hiking, cold weather layering, around town and just about everything else. I am 5'11" 155 lbs girl and fit comfortably in a medium or large for roomier fit. What I love about it the most is the long slim fit to cover my long torso and especially my lower back, because there is nothing more annoying than cold drafts up my back, when clothing rides up, or when it is not long enough, which happens a lot with women's clothes for my size. I find this men's version to be much more suitable for me. This fleece is extremely soft, light and WARM WARM WARM! When layering, it is not bulky, youbarely even know it's there... Being very active, i put comfort in first place and never neglect the styling. I am picky that way and am willing to pay top dollar and demand both! This piece in perfect in every way and well worth the price, especially for you tall, slim men! Get it!
A personal Favorite

I use this fleece year around for skiing, climbing, ice climbing...or around town. Great breath-ability and Super comfortable. It has a slim fit so I don't have allot of material bunching up under my other layers.
Awesome yet not awesome
- Gender: Male
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
Norraana stuff looks so freaking awesome when you see it online but then you put it on and it just doesn't look like you imagined. It fits so differently from everything else I have so I guess I just can't get used to it. Great product but not for me... at least for now.
Great versatile jacket for many conditions
The Norrona /29 Warm 2 fleece is created with an incredibly soft and supple fleece. The jacket is slim fit and has a lot of flex to it which is great for a multitude of activities. I have done everything from ice climbing to trail running with this jacket and it's construction is sturdy as can be. There is virtually no wear to this product whatsoever. Depending on the activity the jacket can be incredibly warm. I have ran with it on trail in the teen degrees F and had to take it off because I was dying it was so warm (though I am trail running). When engaged in less aerobic activities where there is some movement and then some stand still it seems to be great. It is also nice just to wear when I am hanging out at a pub or on the patio on a cool fall evening. The only flaw in my perspective is that the jacket lacks adjustments around the hood and neck collar. The jacket is so soft the collar will not stand on it's own like many other Norrona fleece products do. Sometimes its nice to just have a high collar without the hood. The other flaw I see is that when zipped all the way up, the scuba hood clamps down tight around the base of the neck due to a constricting elastic band that is probably designed to keep more heat in. This becomes a problem when you wear a few base layers underneath (some with neck collars) which provides the sensation at times of a knot at the base of your throat. Other than that I am very happy with this purchase. if you are looking for something warmer Norrona also has a 250 fleece and 300 fleece jacket you should check out. I am 5'10, 165 lbs (give or take) and have a 39 inch chest. I wear a size Medium and it fits me perfectly. Last but not least the length of the jacket is a little longer than another jacket, so it never rides up as do other jackets tend to do and there is no definitive elastic band on the bottom that allows the jacket to bunch up. The slim flex of the material keeps the jacket close without having to pull it down constantly. Other than the few flaws in my perspective this is a great jacket and I love it, but I am a tough sale and can't give it a 5 star due to the reasons listed above. I hope this helped you out.
Warm and light
Great light weight (but warm) fleece. Slim cut, but incredibly flexible (6'3'' 190 lbs and a L fits perfect).
The purple jacket looks exactly like the one pictured above. There is no plum coloring and the green is where it is supposed to be.

Will any larges in other colors show up this season?
Unfortunately it does not look like we have any more coming in stock.
They only put one order in a year to Norrona.
Beware the purple...misleading photo
Guys, I just got the purple one. It does NOT have any green whatsoever on it Except the logo on the arm. It has a plum color where the green shows up in the photo. I am giving it to my wife as I bought it to match my green Norrona stuff. I hate it when the photos are not accurate.

Could this be used as a stand a lone with just a thin shirt underneath for not so active days in the 30's??? I want something I can wear just walking around town, but something that gives BIG time warmth.
It's not windproof, but it's definitely warm enough to wear in 30 degree-ish weather and even a little colder as long as its not too windy. As *tdudnyk* says, it fits like a second skin which really helps keep in the heat.
Definitely!! And girls will want to cuddle, too!!

Whats the hood situation here. Is it snug and thin enough to wear under a helmut. I find the patagonia R1 hood a bit too large and thick for helmut use
It is super snug, perfect for a helmet
Another great Norrona fleece
These guys make really the best fleeces out there. They also cost a ton, but are worth it. Fits like a second skin, looks cool, and is remarkably warm. The wrist holes are super trick and help to keep your knuckles covered. It is made of the same material as my Arcteryx RHO long underwear which means it is super insulating.
