At first appearance I thought the jacket was thin and wouldn't be warm, but I was wrong! Its so warm that I have found myself having to take it off to cool down. Definitely a great mid layer fleece to wear underneath a shell for a day on the hill. Plus it looks rad as well!

This is my go to jacket for colder days, where it has held up perfectly fine in about 40 degree weather with about 15 mph winds, which is alot better than I expected for such a light fleece. It's also one of the most comfortable jackets I have. The multiple pockets are also a plus along with the zip up hood, everything about this jacket is just perfect and I'm in love with it. I'm sold on Norrona products simply from this jacket.
So great I gave it to my Groomsmen

Per my previous review, I'm a big fan of this sweater. In fact, I gave it as a Groomsmen gift, which worked out very well when the temperature dropped during my outdoor wedding.

High quality, light, breathable and super soft and comfy. I went with the Too Blue color and it's a sweet shade of blue. I love the zipper functionality which allows you to zip the hood fully shut.
DO NOT TRY THIS WHEN DRIVING, SKIING OR ANY OTHER ACTIVITY AT SPEED!!!
The zipper can be zipped to the point where the neck of the fleece acts as neck warmer or you can zip to the point that the hood acts as a baklava if you so desire.
Love it.

This is my first purchase of a higher-end jacket and it shows! I picked it up and was surprised how light it was. I know I'm comparing to my department store jackets, but the difference is significant.
It fits very nicely and it's a nice looking jacket. Nobody around here (central Virginia) really knows who Norrona is, so hipster cred, maybe?
I can't speak for the warmth, because it's still too darn hot out in Virginia, but if it isn't warm enough for a nice winter bike ride, I'll fork over for another Norrona jacket (warm2 or warm3), because I really like them.
** Edit: 2 months of owning this jacket, I still think it's very nice, but I want to note that some of the sewing is coming undone. Now that's fine on cheaper clothing, but when you pay $130 for a jacket, it shouldn't do that.

Excellent quality - very light, breathable and comfortable, nice color (I bought True Purple) and design. The only thing I find a little bit bothering is too long sleeves. The feel of it is pleasant on skin - very soft. I use it for casual wear during cool days and for hiking. Yet to try it for layering when skiing, but unsure if it is going to fit well as the fit is relaxed if not baggy, and I like much tighter mid-layers.
Comfy and stylish

This is such an amazing hoodie. I wear it everywhere. it feels like I dove into a pool of baby kittens, and never want to leave the comforts of their warmth. It makes the perfect layer when i want a little extra for cold mornings where the puffy just isn't enough, and when I feel like scaring children the fully zipping chest through hood works perfect.
My favorite fleece

I love this fleece. I have mostly used as an outerlayer for trail running, as a midlayer for skiing, and just for hanging out in the house. For running, its great between ~28-45 degrees F. But if you get too hot, its easy to tie around your waist and you barely notice it.
My two favorite features are:
1. Long sleeves lets me keep my hands covered while running, also has thumb loops to keep the sleeves from riding up.
2. Full zip hood it looks interesting but I really like being able to zip up over my chin in the snow, rain and wind (see photo).
My fiancé has one as well and absolutely loves it.
Sleeves/Cuffs are annoying

I've had a couple of Norrona fleece jackets now. At first, I really liked them, as the cut through the body and shoulders is fantastic for a tall, athletic build. However, the more time I've spent in them, the more annoying the cuffs, or lack of cuffs, has become. They don't layer well, and always feel big and bulky in that area. If these jackets had more of a "standard" elastic-type of cuff, they would be great! As it is, I'll be returning mine.
Just bought my third Warm1

I purchased 2 of these directly from Norrona in early 2011 (I live in CA and, apparently because I purchased more than 1, I unexpectedly had to deal with customs, which was not a straightforward or inexpensive process.) and have practically lived in them ever since. Remarkably comfortable and durable, and the colors have only slightly faded (I have the "orange.com" and the "caviar") despite many trips through the washer/dryer. Late always to follow the seasons, I'd been eyeing the "pond" color and noticed it was just "discontinued", so I hurriedly grabbed one of the final 4 (size L) in stock. Love this jacket!

Softest, lightest fleece that I own,but also perhaps the warmest of the lot if you consider weight to warmth ratio.
Brilliant quality and craftsmanship, as with all Norrona products.

Great fleece for lounging around. As the /29 line states, these are not made to be technical. That being said, this fleece still has great features. Full zip hood, great colors, thumb loops, zip pockets. . .yeah slightly overpriced though.
Nice and stylish but...technical?

I can't believe everyone giving this a full 5 stars and more than one reviewer saying it's "technical" or has "technical features". First and foremost this thing is for mostly casual wear. Of course it has Scandinavian styling flourishes along with nice metal zipper pulls...but the "thumbloops" (simple fabric thumbcatches on the inside of the cuffs) aren't really a technical feature so much as something that you MUST use if wearing this under another jacket. The reason is that there are no real cuffs..and the material actually flares a bit at the wrists. Overall I have to give it 4 stars just for style, but the fleece material is very thin and only suitable for mildly cool days. Oh, and before I forget...this particular jacket isn't one size too small like many European brands, so feel free to get your normal size.

Thin but warm, very narrow/athletic cut. The orange is really, really orange but quite stylish. I think. Very happy with the jacket

I bought this piece based solely on good reviews on this website. And I wear it every day since I got it. It's really lightweight, full zip makes it easy to take it off/put back on, the fabric itself is warm and breathable, both design and quality are top notch. The only thing I find a bit off is that the zipper is on the girls side and that sleeves are kinda wide (unless your guns are ridiculously large). Overall, really well thought and made jacket.

Hey! There's no girls' and boys' side of the zipper. It is mainly a difference between North American and European companies. We find it eaqually irritating with NA brands
Marc Langille

Hi Magnus, I believe that zipper configuration is specific to the USA, not North America! I didn't realize that there was a "girls and boys" side for zippers in the US until someone mentioned it after I moved to the US (I am Canadian). Reason for my statement: I own a number of Sierra Design clothes manufactured in the Foymount, Ontario, Canada plant - zipper design is the opposite (of the US). The pull part of the zipper is on the left for their Canadian clothing (unless it's changed since the 1990's). Regards, Marc

If most people are right handed it would seem logical to have the pull on the right. (unless you are lefthanded)

Yeah right Magnus. You're probably just wearing girls jackets and don't know it.
OMG!

This one took me by surprise... way more technical than I would've thought from the description with very cool features like thumb loops and a full zip hood (don't laugh I can see various clever uses for this). Without a doubt the most comfortable fleece I own and environmentally friendly no less! This fabric is VERY lightweight and breathes well yet blocks enough wind to be comfortable when there is a chill in the air. The fit is athletic, but allows a full and complete range of motion. This thing is ridiculous! Kudos to Norrona for raising the bar!!
