Nice boots. I was trying go away from Tecnica Daiblo (made in Slovenia) boots, but looks like all ski boots manufacturer are outsourcing now.
These boots made in Romania.. Nothing against Romania but i believe we have to forget the quality of the boots we had 8-10 years ago..I agree to pay extra money but they should give us something comparable to original Tecnica Icon Carbon . Those where the best boots so far....

The thing is I have quite wide feet and everyone tells me how uncomfortable these boots should be for me....they fit like a glove though and I love them. I had them fitted at Sports LTD in South Lake Tahoe by the English guy with the round glasses and he did a fantastic job. Tried the whole store on, these just work for me. I have done about 80+ ski days with them in a variety of conditions and they are holding up well - I dread the day they will need replacing. I kind of feel that ski boot reviews are pointless - what works for me may well be agony for you and vice-versa. All I can say is: I love them and they transformed my skiing from nervous intermediate to all mountain charger. Thankyou Nordica and Sports LTD.

The boot cuff tilts side to side by a couple of degrees so it can be adjusted to match your lower leg shape. Lower legs are not generally straight, most bow out a couple of degree relative to the foot. Getting this adjustment correct means a flatter, more neutral ski that turns easier.

I've gone through a variety of boots and always got a bad pinch on the side of my foot, near the toes. These boots have a wider cut there and felt much better.
Backcountry let me return my (slightly used) old boots that I bought from them, and I bought these from them. Always great service.
