NRGy 90 Ski

"All-mountain" used to mean "doesn't really do anything all that well", but skis like the Nordica NRGy 90 have flipped that old state of affairs on its head. Now, all-mountain skis can be counted on to rail groomers, be quick and nimble in the bumps and trees, and handle knee-deep powder and leftover chunder without blinking. The NRGy's one of the best of the breed, with a versatile 90mm waist and All-Mountain Camrock camber profile—a moderately rockered tip to go with hardpack-crushing traditional camber underfoot—that'll rally around the whole mountain. Nordica gave it a tapered tail that makes it easy to break out of turns if you're feeling a little bit surfy on a powder day, reinforced the steel edges with rubber sheets to give the NRGy a damp and reliable feel.

Of course, a ski's only as good as what's on the inside, which is why Nordica took great care to design the NRGy with a lively wood I-Core Ti core, which features Torsion Bridge technology, a specially-machined layer of Titanal that adds plenty of edge-to-edge stiffness while keeping the weight down and maintaining the ski's moderate fore-aft flex. Add in four layers of prepreg laminate, stiff and durable ABS sidewalls, and a quick sintered UHMW base, and you've got a ski that's as all-mountain ready as they come.
