As you polish your park and pipe game, you wonder what free-flying pros like Peter Olenick, Tucker Perkins, and Justen Dorey have up their sleeves. One thing they have in common: talent. You can't buy that, but you can buy the other thing they share and then make it a part of your daily airtime: the Nordica Men's Ace of Spades Ski Boot. Nordica's own pro team crafted this boot detail-by-detail to make it a game-changing asset.
Dual-fold tongue design provides progressive flex, making the boot easy and responsive as you initiate, and then stiffer and supportive upon landings
Excellent rearward support lends an assist in off-balance landings
Full Shock Eraser technology dampens vibrations and hard impacts without diminishing performance
Dual-fold three-buckle design shaves weight off the traditional four-buckle boot, which translates to faster spins and easier flips
Ergonomic buckle closure system optimizes surface area and leverage to wrap your foot as smoothly and snugly as possible
45-Degree instep retention promotes landings free of bone-crushing (You're welcome)
Vibram soles give you a slip-free stride
Bottom Line: Make your game faster, lighter, higher.
these boots are... everything i could hope for. i recently just left the circuit, but im a spandex racer at heart, and i was looking for something that could in the sandbox, treehouse, and jungle gym. and to answer that, the name says it all. unfortunately i might have bought a size too large, i was in a squeeze for time and just bought them. no regrets! i landed my first cliffs. hit my first rails. landed my first fives, and could still rail the corduroy. but like i said. im a racer i would prefer a tighter fit. dont think about anything other than the size. other than that. just do it!
I was fit for a 27 in this boot. Whats the difference between the 27 and the 27.5. I know the shell is the same and i was told that the liner is the same aswell. Just wondering because in the 2011 and 2012 model they dont have 27s

I tried a pair of these that seemed to fit great and ride well. My only concern was the loud crunching noise that occurs when you flex forward in the boot. Is that normal or did I happen to test a defective pair?
Great boots, the 3 buckle is the real deal. Middle buckle locks your heel in so you can let these things rip and feel comfortable doing it. These are advertised as park/pipe boots, but their all-mountain and off-piste abilities are what really shine. I'm 6'0" 225 expert skier (stay away from park/pipe), and these handle like a dream in pow, trees, bumps, and steeps. Stiff enough to provide great support, but forgiving enough to make for a smooth ride. On groomers and at high speeds, the variable flex works as advertised...the more you lean forward and the faster you're skiing, the stiffer and more responsive they are. Real snappy and project tons of energy to the skis in the right places. Broke in really easy too by themselves, so I wouldn't recommend heat-molding them. Make sure you don't buy them too big...mine were pretty tight when I first put them on, but they are perfect now. Ski them 5 or 6 times, then put an insert in if needed, and you'll be good. Really easy on and off your feet too...and you'll have the most colorful boots on the mountain. Get after these!
I must admit, like a lot of people, I was a bit nervous as this seemed like a park boot trying to be a big mountain boot, but I've been very impressed. The flex is progressive and at 225 lbs, I haven't felt like they were too soft. No, they don't feel like a 130 flex, but they also don't feel soft like a 100 flex either, so I really feel like they're kind of in the sweet spot. 3 buckles is AWESOME, the middle buckle locks you in. Probably one of the easiest on/off boots I've ever worn and sick graphics to boot. I highly recommend this boot for comfort AND performance.
I'm currently riding the Dabello KP IDs and after a ton of work my toes still numb out after a couple hours of hard riding. I tried the AOS the other day and the feel so comfortable without feeling sloppy, but my 1st thought was how long is this cushy feel going to last? I do understand every liner packs out i'm just wondering if anyone as had experience with the AOS since it came out towards the end of last season?
I had my AOS boots with me over the summer when i took a two week trip to Mt. Hood. I skied everyday for at least a couple of hours, and now with the start of the ski season in the East i have probably put in almost 100 hours with the AOS boot, and it still feels the same to me.
only skied on these boots for a couple of days and i think they're brilliant in everything ive tried, bumps especially were a breeze. Im 6'2 and 230 pounds, thought they might be a little soft but the flex is just right. im an instructor and so spend all day in these boots at least 5 days a week and think i will be very happy in these.
This boot looks like it's made specifically for the park...how does it take to the rest of the mountain? I'm worried it's not stiff enough to charge the whole mountain.
i was worried about the same thing, but i got the boot anyway and it feels promising. its stiffness, is variable, meaning it has certain areas that are 110 flex all the way up to areas with 130. This means that all the times you don't want a 130 flex boot killing your feet, its going to ski like a 110 flex, but when you are putting it to the test, and really demanding that extra flex, its going to ski like a 130. In terms of your concern, I'm not sure how you ski/preference, and all of that, but if it fits your preferences, this is actual the IDEAL boot for charging the entire mountain because of its varying flex. I think Nordica definitely miss advertised this boot as a park only boot, because it will definitely kill it all over. If your wavering, i say go for it, the three buckle system and placement really hold your foot in there.
