With light insulation and waterproof, breathable fabric, the Nomis Women's Stacey Jacket keeps you dry and warm without a bulky or over-the-top techy-out look. Don't let the style fool you, though, Nomis designed the Stacey for the mountain, not the runway. Strategic seam taping, snap-up powder skirt, and Lycra cuffs make for an unbreachable environment free of snow. During those warmer days, you can unzip the mesh, underarm vents and release some hard-earned heat. With a goggle pocket and zippered waist pockets you won't have to leave much in the car.

I love this

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I bought this jacket a couple seasons ago, and I still love it just as much as the first day. I like the pattern, and I get lots of comments on it when I wear this out. The pockets are nice, although it is strange that the right outer pocket is larger than the left. The neck when zipped up is a little tall, which is nice on those cold, fast runs down the slopes. It's not in the way when I don't have it zipped, which is an added bonus. The sizing is pretty spot on, seeing as how I'm 5'7" and roughly 135, the medium fit perfect. The sleeves are a little longer, which is nice, and it sits about mid-bum, perfect for snow protection. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to add some stylish and functional flare to their winter!

too long

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large

The torso and sleeves on this jacket are WAY too long! The torso would be bearable if it had a 2-way zipper, but its impossible to sit without bunching several inches of fabric up. The sleeves, even with a few inches folded under, cover my fully extended finger tips. Out of fairness, I will not comment on its warmth, as I have yet to find a jacket that keeps me warm. I cannot find an interior goggle pocket, despite the description (and tag on the jacket) saying it has one. I LOVE the looks of it (I got it in Sangria), so it sucks to have to send it back, but I really cannot wear it and function due to the length.
