Bad clasp design

  • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it
  • Fit:True to size

Clasp catches on about everything from shirt and coat sleeve to desk edge. I'd loose this in a heartbeat outside.

Are these the old versions? or the new ones? I am looking for the older gold version with the non-cursive writing?

Hello Sharakim,

These are all the new version from 2014. Unfortunately it doesn't look like we have any of the older models still in stock, sorry about that!

Very nice watch

  • Gender:Male
  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

I have the all gold timeteller but it isn't an everyday watch, so I bought the matte black one and I'm surprised. Didn't have to go to jeweler like I had because of the all gold one. These new ones (at least mine) come with new adjustable links so no problem for people with small wrists.

Do you ship to Canada?

Do you ship to Canada?

Hey Rob, unfortunately Nixon is one of the brands BC can't ship outside the U.S.

why Nixon logo on the watch is cursive

Why is the Nixon name on the White cursive if its not cursive on the nixon website? Is it a fake?

the nixon cursive is the older nixon logo. regardless, both are legit

thanks Alyssa. im 5'2 and weight 100 lbs so my wrist is very small. Is it good for women?

i'm 4'11 and i just bought the watch. it's pretty big so we definitely have to bring it somewhere to remove the links.

and we do get the newer version, the one from the nixon site (non cursive logo)

    Can you swim with it?

      Great gift!!

Bought for my brother as a gift. Nixon makes great timepieces and he had been shopping for one. I found an incredible deal on dogfunk. My brother was stoked and has been wearing it since!

        Excellent casual watch

I'm actually wearing this watch as I write this review. The only complaint i'd have with it is that it comes extremely loose, and doesn't adjust very much. So if you have small wrists like me you'll have to take it to a jeweler to get links removed. Having to do all of that was a drag but it was worth it, this watch reminds me why i love Nixon! Lightweight, water resistant, and the clean, simple, yet classy look. This watch has it all!

          Really good overall

I've had it about a year and a few band things have broken off it, but still nothing major.

It was a little big at first too- not sure if there was a way to pop one of the rings off so I just did a home made fix with some staples.

If I buy another watch Ill stick with Nixon but probably shell out more money for a non-strechy one

            Good Looking Watch

I purchased the gunmetal on gunmetal watch, and it looks great! I have received many compliments on it. My only complaint is the band, which is some sort of stretchy link band, catches my wrist and arm hair and pulls them. Otherwise, this is a great looking watch, and well worth the price!

Does anyone know what the minimum wrist size for this watch is? I.e. what is the circumference of the band when it is un-stretched?

              Is this an older version?

probably, most items on backcountry that are on sale are discontinued models.

Why is the font/typecase on the gold Nixon timeteller watch in lowercase and here and on the Nixon Website & Boardco (another anotorized Nixon deaker) the font is all UPPERCASE (NIXON)?

              Tons of Compliments

For the looks this watch rocks. I got it in black/light wood, and i'm constantly getting compliments about it. My only issue on this is durability. I've had the watch for less than a month and already the watch band has loose links, then today as i was reaching into my pocket the band snagged the outside of my pocket and broke the band off the face. I mean come on. A watch should be able to take the amount of forced used to put my hand into my jean pocket. So if you're crazy careful (kuz i'm pretty careful) with this watch it's a keeper. But if you're like me and you actually want to wear your watch, i'd say pick something a little more durable.

if i were a guy i'd wear this

Made this one a gift for my dad, he wears it all the time and it goes great with casual just as well as dressy. The black metal makes it look so slick combined with the wooden face makes it an all around amazing watch! You won't regret buying this

Can you take links out of the band if its to loose on your wrist?

No ya cant. the only way to adjust size on this watch is 4 pin settings on the clasp.

Of course you can have links taken out. I had *SEVEN* links removed, and also adjusted the pins to the smallest. I have a very tiny wrist.
