The Nixon Men's Rover Watch is an update to one of Nixon's pioneering designs. Built on the premise that a watch doesn't have to be all metal to be stylish, nor does it have to be all rubber to be sporty, the Rover can go anywhere. Its Mega-Link construction and Nixon's uniquely comfortable polyurethane/steel band make it a veritable SUV. Nixon positioned the polyurethane on the outside of the link to allow the band to twist and compress in case you find yourself using your hands to break a fall, clip a draw on a lead climb, or ward off an angry mob of adoring fans. The center of the link is made of solid stainless steel, and with a double locking clasp, the Rover won't leave your wrist involuntarily. *Available for US shipment only.

Bottom Line: The Nixon Men's Rover Watch makes the perfect blend of sport and style.

Great watch

I've had my Rover for nearly 5 years and I still love it. I have gotten many compliments on it's appearance from both guys and gals. It's heavy but not too heavy, the band is comfortable, and the double clasp is secure. I've beat the hell out of this watch yet it still keeps precise time and wears it's battle scars with pride.

Not the top but not the bottom

I am a self professed watch freak. Meaning I currently own about 30 timepieces. Now this addition is a "good" sports watch. It's a heavy case and the bracelet is beefy but comfortable. The link adjustments are OK and it comes with two extras. I took one off but had to put it back on 'cause it was too tight then adjust the clasp for the proper fit.
In the dark, the back light is good, but you cannot see the numerals with it so you use the clock face dark spots.

This is a very serviceable watch, should last quite a while and looks like it will take a beating and still perform. I own better looking and higher quality watches but for the backcountry this will suffice just fine.

Band problems

By:
August 10, 2007

The watch keeps perfect time and looks good, but the band is unreliable. It has broken on me at least 5 times all at different places. Having hard plastic links on the band is not a good idea. I salute this site for standing behind their products because they replaced my watch with a different Nixon watch without any hassles. Keep up the great work!!

Just plain cool

I bought this watch because it looked unique and had some neat features. The black and silver metal band fits me better than any other watch with a metal band I have owned. I've already received some unsolicited compliments on it, mostly from women. Now my wife wants one.

move over Rover

By:

I’ve worn my Rover watch casually for two years now. The buttons broke twice. They sent me a new one to replace the original one the second time because it couldn't be fixed and it was still within a year of my purchase. In less than a year later the band broke. Sweet! (One of the black composite pieces or whatever they are made of). It still tics. I just can't wear it.

Well crafted watch. Clean design. Band appears to be pretty durable. Keeps precise time. All in all, I think I got my money’s worth.

Good looking watch

I bought this watch as a gift for my boyfriend, and it's much more handsome on a wrist than alone in a picture. Great looking, solid watch.

another great watch form Nixon.

Great watch. The design of the band is very unique and it's tough as nails. I've smacked it pretty hard against table corners, doorknobs, sidewalk, etc. and it's barely shown a scratch. Very accurate too. I set it against the clock on my cell phone about a month ago and I don't think it's lost a second.
