Description

A heavy Nixon hitter in a small package.

The Nixon Small Lodown packs all the same surf-specific features of its big brother into a compact chassis for smaller wrists. This burly little tide watch took a hit from a shrink ray without dropping a single vital statistic, so you'll still be able to time the tides at over 200 beaches worldwide for the next fifteen years, as well as take it down to 330 feet without a worry. Of course the Small Lodown has all the standard timepiece specs you need, like day, date, alarm, and electroluminescent backlighting. After all, it's a Nixon.

Great watch love the look. Mine however has a really dark screen, to see the time and wave information I have to hit the light button, even in daylight. Is there something wrong with mine or is this how they all are? Complex watch, and came with the wrong manual, starting to understand though.

Someone asked if this watch can be set to military time--can it? Someone answered and said no but can anyone confirm this? It sucks that I spent $90 on this watch and it can't even do that. Also, whenever I select "Timer" it only gives me a countdown timer, like starting at 20:00, then 19:59, etc. Is there an option where it can actually *time* something? Like, 00:00, 00:01?

I'll be very disappointed at the fact that I spent $90 on this and it can't even do those simple, basic tasks. Thanks.

Negatory again maam. No military time. This is a casual beach/surfer/diver watch. I would have checked out the functions more carefully before making the purchase. Kudo's are in order for what it does perform.

I have the green/black/red version of this watch, and it does have military time. However, I am unable to figure out how to time something.

You don't have to hit a button to see the time, unless it's dark and you're using the backlight.

Different flavours of this watch are available. All the ones I've seen have a bright red LCD.

As you can tell from a few reviews, we were having some issues with the Lodown.

When we launched this watch we wanted to use better quality materials than the current tide watches on the market. We went ahead and used a mineral crystal instead of an acrylic because the mineral is much more durable and scratch resistant. Down the road we found out that the bonding agent used to seal the face to the case was failing, this caused water to leak into the casing. We have since addressed this issue and all Lodowns now have an updated acrylic crystal guaranteed not to leak.

So get off your ass, put on your Lodown, and head out to one of the 200 pre-programmed beaches to catch some lefts....brah.

Nice look for a tide watch but if you actually go in the water this is NOT the watch for you. Mine leaked the very first day! Sent it back, next one lasted two whole surf sessions. Sent it back, next one couldn't survive the water slide at a hotel pool. I gave up on it after that.
