This watch bust his stick he shred so bad. This is my 3rd Nixon tide watch and it is the 3rd strike as well. They all broke in some fashion or another so I will be trading it in for a Freestyle.
- Gender: Male
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I originally purchased this watch when I was living in the Virgin Islands for the tide feature, and still use it when traveling. The multi beach function is awesome and I wear it here in Utah as well because it looks so good.
My Dad is a power boater and fisherman. He needed a tide watch to see how the current and tides were running. I purchased this watch for him and have been very pleased with the performance. The only negative is the rubberized band. It tends to irritate your skin if water or moisture gets under it.
I got the watch in neon green and it looked awesome though its not the most comfortable (somewhat impedes wrist motion). It was waterproof when I took it surfing which is not the case with all watches. I would have been stoked on the watch but after 6 months the screen became permanently mixed between telling the time and giving the tide information making it not much use.
I love this watch, great sale. i was told it breaks easy, but i can't see that happening, no problems with me at all. it does seem to be big on the wrist at first, but i got used to it, i love it. when i go out for dawn patrol, you lose track of time so easily, this watch gets you right back in the zone, if it matters. knowing the tide is also a plus. GET THIS WATCH...WONT BE DISSAPOINTED!
great watch, it is thick looking on wrist, and has a large face. But its sweet when in the water. i don't think you can push the uttons when underwater my beep is now not working
Was Considering this watch. I liked the green but thought it looked like a toy. What you guys think?
Looks like a bona fide watch to me. It's way better than those pop color ones.
It looks good, I got a lot of compliments on mine. Too bad it doesn't work half as good as it looks though. I sent it back cause the function buttons stopped working after a month.
I've the lime version and it's getting very dirty and only a few weeks old. I've tried washing it with soap and water but no joy... Any suggestions please??? Jim
can u program your own tide area if its not listed in the settings
I presume that one can configure ANY tide anywhere in the world, rather than being tied to the programmed tides.
Any thoughts someone who actually has one and uses it to their special area?
do you have an operation manual i have misplaced mine ????
i have the black outsider tide watch
You might be able to find one randomly on Ebay? Best option would be to contact Nixon directly and ask for a replacement.
How does this watch compare to the Super Hero tide watch?
Can you load a different city other than the 200 preloaded cities? I live in Pensacola and want to know the local tides.
does the watch offer tides for key west, fl
I have yet to see a list of beaches, it's a total mystery unless you own the watch.
Yes Key West area is included
Write your question here...Is this really waterproof or is it water resistant? Anybody dive with this?
its waterproof up to 100 meters
so sick, i beat the crap out of my watches and this 1 has held up well
Do the tides HAVE to be on there? Or can you can you press a button to get it off?
You can switch to different modes that do not show the tide.
Oh. Okay, I was looking at this watch, but I live in central FL and don't need the tides at ALL times.
Does the time get bigger or something when the tides are not there or is it essentially just a blank screen?
lol, you wouldn't happen to have a picture of this , would you?
