Nixon designed the Men's Delta II PU Watch so you can rip on the mountain and prove it later to your buddies. Turn the bezel dial to Time, Ride, Compass, or Speed and record the total vertical, number of runs, speed and altitude of your kick-ass powder day. Track your direction and altitude in ‘Compass' mode, then rotate the bezel to ‘Speed'—the Delta II PU Watch's built-in slope sensor lets you select your pitch and record your speed as you accelerate down the mountain. Nixon made it easy to navigate through the Delta II PU watch's functions, so you can spend more time on the slopes and less time reading some dictionary-sized instruction book. Use the backlight to keep track of time when it's dark, or set the Delta II's alarm to catch the first chair of the day. The polyurethane band keeps this Nixon watch comfortable all season long. AVAILABLE FOR US SHIPMENT ONLY.

Bottom Line: Prove your crazy-vertical runs and high-altitude jumps with Nixon's Delta II PU Watch.

Once calibrated, most altimeters are accurate to within 50 - 75 feet per every 3000' of elevation (and that's for less well-designed barometric altimeters), assuming little change in ambient barometric pressure. Without going into all the crazy stuff about weather and those pesky isobars, the only time the unit would need frequent calibration would be during changing weather (either a low or high pressure moving into the area), and even then, maybe only 4 times/day to maintain accuracy. Other than that, calibrating the unit each morning should provide fairly accurate results throughout the day.
