Viking Snowboard

Made for the Scandinavian bad-assery of Nitro team riders Gjermund Braaten, Torgeir Bergrem, and Nils Arvidsson, the Nitro Viking Snowboard is a purpose-built freestyle deck made for terrorizing the park. Its responsive flex is stiff enough to handle bigger kickers, yet it's not overly aggressive, allowing you to jib and press without the board being too stiff. Being a true twin, the Viking keeps you centered for a well-balanced feel when you're spinning off lips and stomping switch landings.

Gjermund, Torgeir, and Nils are well-known for throwing double-corks in slopestyle contests, front-boarding gigantic handrails, and sending intimidating backcountry jumps. As such, the Viking features Nitro's LowRider camber for the locked-in stability and sky-high pop of traditional camber, but with a bit more forgiveness on those sketchy landings and technical rail tricks.

Inside this high-flying freestyle board, the Powercore II is comprised of tip-to-tail poplar for a reliably smooth feel underfoot, with added birch stringers for extra stomping strength. The Whiplash core profiling thins out the board between the bindings for improved control and flexibility. After the bindings, this core profile thickens up for extra stability when you're stomping double-cork 1080s like a beast or landing backseat off 40-footers in the park. Triax fiberglass increases high-speed response and stability. Another park-specific feature, Rail Killer edges improve durability against jib and rail thrashings. Since they're twice as thick as standard edges, you can really de-tune the edges for hitting rails without losing edge control on the mountain.
