The Men's Team TLS Snowboard Boot has been a perennial team favorite for Nitro's big mountain-ridin' and big air-boostin' team riders. It has a supportive, responsive feel and plenty of cushioning to help you slay everything from steep spines to massive park jumps.

New this season is a Vibram Icetrek outsole that substantially improves grip on icy surfaces and boosts durability, as well as the Cloud 9 liner which offers a whole new level of comfort while also reducing weight thanks to the Thermacell material. The TLS lacing system features two speedlace pulls that let you independently adjust different zones of the boot so you can dial in the perfect fit. If anything breaks it can easily be fixed without special tools, and when you're ready to get out of your boots simply give the Bail Out tab a quick pull and the shell opens without a fuss.

An EVA midsole offers lightweight cushioning for easier landings and a smoother ride, and Air Dampening absorbs shock from harsh impacts to save your heels. The Therminator Shield sits under the liner and reflects body heat back to your feet for more warmth without adding insulation. The Armored Spine uses an anatomically-shaped and 3D-molded heel reinforcement to maintain stiffness and keep your heel locked in.

The most comfortable boot I've owned.

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I will need to still take this boot out for a ride, but as its august I have some waiting to do. I have previously ridden the nitro anthem and taken it from icy snow in mammoth to 3 months in whistler. Things I found annoying with the anthem have been fixed in the team. The liner is amazingly comfortable, while maintaining superior foot hold. I I ride a split, so a comfortable sole for hiking is essential. This boot features the TLS system, which I find great in comparison to traditional lacing, or boa systems. The vibram sole is very grippy and will be great for hiking, again something I do a lot of.

Overall this boot is at the upper level in this line and feels miles ahead of the anthem in comfort and cup hold. The armour spine ads a nice responsive feel and will give you great control when finding the good stuff.

Highly recommended for all moutain riders, or backcountry focused riders.
