Playful and poppy, together at last.

Just because you have big boots doesn't mean you want to ride a stiff freeride board built for grumpy, granola-munching old dudes. The Nitro T1 Wide Snowboard hooks up the same freestyle flex, versatile twin shape, and value-packed construction as the regular version, in a slightly wider platform to eliminate toe-drag.

The T1 Wide starts with a flat camber for positive edge control with a playful feel. Nitro built the core with poplar tip-to-tail and beech wood stringers for a smooth feel and bomber durability. The twin shape and radial sidecut make carving predictable and controlled whether you're just humming along or riding switch. The T1 also uses Nitro's Whiplash Profile, while thins between the bindings and thickens toward the tip and tail which, along with beech wood stringers, adds tons of pop. For the finishing touch, the T1 gets the Sintered Speed Formula Base. The Formula is infused with Nanotech wax for ridiculous speed in any snow condition.

Nitro T1 159cm

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I had just bought the board about a month ago and it already broke. The top layer started to crack out and wasn't very tough at all. It had good flex and all but if you are a half decent sized rider or you ride pretty hard, this board is pretty fragile.

How much do you weigh? My Nitro boards are bombproof. I've had so many "think I just snapped my board" moments where I didn't find any trace of damage.

there is no way this board is fragile, I have this model board from 3 years ago and it by far the strongest board I have ever ridden. it looks like you just got a defective board, I'm sure they will replace it with a solid one.
