Description

Make moves in the park all season long.

The Nitro Rook Snowboard has already won more awards than you probably will throughout your entire sad, lonely existence. So you might as well pick one up and experience the park-dominating awesomeness that comes courtesy of the Rook's zero-camber profile, Railkiller edges, and ollie-enhancing Pop Bands.
  • Zero-camber profile blends the pop and control of standard camber with the float and forgiveness of rocker boards
  • Railkiller edges use thicker-than-normal steel for increased resistance to damage from rails, wallrides, and boxes
  • Ballistic Impact Panels increase durability in high-stress binding zones
  • Pop Bands use strategic fiberglass for extra pop without unnecessary torsional stiffness

Favorite Board

In a world of unnecessarily weird camber ideas this board handles it all with no camber. Ride the NW and we get it all. Only time I have problems are on sheer ice but mostly because my edges are de-tuned. I love camber but this board is too fun and a great halfway between traditional and doublebananasuperrockerearlyrisetractiontechnology.

BUY IT

One of my favorite boards. Good pop, very stabile in high speeds, turns on a dime, and floats in pow. 5'6'' 165 lbs and 156 is perfect(if you like to get buck).

All Mountain Killer

Powder, Park, Groomers you name it this board destroys it. I am 6ft, 6'1 on a good day and 175 lbs. I ride the 156 and it is definitely the best board I have ever riden. Can't argue with the control given by the flat camber when hauling on the groomers and the aggressive edging makes turning a dream. Once you pop the fun don't stop! In the park or in pow the board crushes it beyond all expectations.

what are good all around snowboards for a novice snowboarded

Check out the Nitro Addict or Nitro Prime Colorband. Out of those 2 I'd personally go with the Addict because it's gullwing rocker (catch edges less often = fall less often). Typically I'd recommend Never Summer as well, but they don't really make "novice boards". Just don't make the mistake of getting a Burton. Those aren't as durable, the ride is less fun, and customer service is always busy because EVERYONE rides them for some reason. Note: Forum is also Burton. For bindings look into Raidens or Unions and you'll be set!

Just wondering on a scale of 1-10 what the flex would be. I'm 6ft and 145 lbs. How would the 54 be for jibbing?

Favorite Board

This board is my favorite all around board. It is stiff enough for riding some deeper snow, but the zero camber makes it able to still press. The dual degressive sidecut makes turns effortless.
