2200 fewer excuses.

When you're flying through the trails at night, there is a direct correlation between how well you can see and how fast you can go. Eliminate any barriers to your confidence with a crazy-bright light like the NiteRider Pro 2200.

The first thing that you'll likely notice about the Pro 2200 is its bug-eyed, dual-lens appearance. Two light chambers house CREE XML LED bulbs, each chamber broadcasting a huge halo of light when turned to the full 2200 lumens — more than twice the power of your average car headlight. Lower light settings still maintain the halo effect, too, by projecting light over a wide area. To keep the light from overheating, fanning gills have been positioned on the sides of the light's housing. And, since LED lights produce an incredible amount of heat, the Pro 2200 uses a Borofloat lens on the front of the light. Borofloat is a form of borosilicate glass with tremendous thermo-elasticity, so it won't shatter when your hot light falls into a cold stream or if it accidentally gets drenched by a beverage.

Keeping it smart, NiteRider leaves its various light modes up to you with its included DIY software. You decide what levels or flash patterns are programmed in. Want 2200, then 1200, then 250 lumens, and then an SOS flash pattern, in that order, when you hit the button? Not a problem. It's customization is a feature that will endear the 2200 to you beyond any light kit you've ever owned.

And though some may think that 1.25 hours of battery life that the four cell Li-ion battery has when used on full power, the only time that you need that many lumens is when you're descending or going extremely fast. During a climb, you can use one of your custom settings to conserve battery life while maintaining adequate illumination. If you do need to make a mid-race battery swap, the quick-release battery system makes it a breeze.

The NiteRider Pro 2200 Light comes with a handlebar mount that accommodates bars up to 31.8 mm in diameter. It also includes a helmet mount, extension cable, docking station, and DIY Software. Including its battery, the system weighs 580 grams and takes six hours to fully charge.
