Nite Ize PetLit LED Collar Light

When I run through the city at night I want to be as visible as possible and the same goes for my dogs. Any little bit of extra illumination to make me and my four-legged family members safe. Another nice feature about this light is that the battery is easily replaceable after it's 24 hour life is up.

For those who have trouble seeing their dark dog in the night, this is a must have. Use it for walking your dog around the city or when you're sleeping out in the woods with the pup. Don't get caught without it.

This light is very bright considering the compact size.

Due to it's short stature it is very easy to lose so be careful.

Gave these as gifts to my daughter and brother. When my daughter comes to visit she always has her black Lab. However, when we'd let her outside in the early morning and late night we'd lose sight of her. This has solved that problem. Haven't had it long enough to know how the battery life is, but my daughter and brother both love these gifts.

It's rather small but puts out a decent amount of light, no strobe function, just on/off. I have another light from the same company that's a bit bigger, puts out more light, and has a strobe that I prefer to use. For the price though this will get the job done.

Would be great for short haired dogs but pretty hard to see with long hair. Just a little too small to shine through.

Functional light that can easily attach to a dog collar. I like that it came with a battery in it - no need to find a battery and figure out how to replace it. Will look forward to seeing how long it lasts!

I've used the huge LED dog lights before that blink through different colors, but this light is a small white light that stays on. Luckily it works better than the big ones because you simply spin it to turn on, but my dog is a lab mix so it's a little small on him.

Waterproof maybe?? He's jumped in the water and played in the snow, but it still shines on. So that's a good sign!

Needed something to spot the dog at night and early mornings. Works great and the dog barely notices the clip.

I like the light & find it useful but I don't love that it turns on & off by twisting or having to keep it twisted off center when it isn't on. It's a type A gripe, but it does annoy me.

I had an old Nite Ize dog light that you had to hold down to turn on. The twist on this one is so much easier. I got camping a lot and let my dog roam around at night. I love being able to spot him in the dark with this light.

The only downside is that it's pretty small and if it flips over you can't see it at all.

Took this for my lil' pooch on our camping trip. She was quite visible, with this tiny glowing orb. It's not bright until after dusk, though. She is a short haired dog, so maybe this light would be too small for a long-haired dog, not sure.

She did get this lil' guy wet. I forgot she wearing it and took her in the streams. To be honest, this happened a few time. It's kept working all the while, so maybe it's water resistant. I don't think it claims to be water resistant, but I've had good luck with it, so far.

I was expecting this to be a little bigger when I first saw it.



Certainly a little small for most dogs, but fits my little kitty cat just fine.



The battery life is somewhat short, so keep use to a minimum or bring spare batteries

The way this light works it by tightening the clear part (like a flashlight). So my dog will accidentally turn it on while she is sleeping. And you can't loosen it too much to avoid that because the plastic will fall off (with the battery!).
The light is bright, but I think it will be more useful in my backyard than hiking or camping.

Due to a D ring malfunction on my dog's old collar we lost our awesome Nite Ize SpotLit LED Clip-On Safety Light which we LOVED. I take my dog on short morning hikes 3 days a week and with the recent time change (damn you daylight savings) I am again in the dark with an all black dog to keep an eye on lest she be eaten by a coyote or chase the poor deer enjoying their breakfast. So we replaced our old light with the PetLit LED Collar Light (Jewel Crystal) and so far so good. I was initial concerned when it arrived since it looks more like it belongs on a kitten's collar than a dogs, but this mini light packs a light of bright light. I can see the light from fairly far away which makes it easy to keep an eye on my pooch!
Slight negatives: 1)the light is only on 1 side (the old light was a glowing orb on all sides) so if my dog is facing the wrong way it's harder to see the light since the back isn't illuminated.
2) The construction looks like it won't hold up in water -- I don't intend to put it in water - but my dog wears it on most walks and she finds water on some of those walks.

Overall - for the price this is a great little light to have around
