My dog is obsessed with this
My dog is obsessed with this, he now thinks the greatest thing in the world is chasing this thing around our backyard in the dead of the night.
DOGS love the ball
- Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
I love this ball, and so do my dogs. I bought the Disc-0 color ball which changes colors! We have played with it at night mostly.. and in rain, snow, and warm weather! The ball could easily turn into a chew toy so make sure you keep an eye on your dog and keep throwing it!
Wish my dog liked this toy as much as me
- Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
This was one of those things I bought for someone else that I really liked and it turned out that they didn't like it nearly as much. I bought this for my dog for Christmas, but apparently she's more into chewing furniture, ropes, and stuffed animals than a light up ball. It's easy to turn on and actually quite bright. I can't comment on the durability, but appears to be well made. Probably would make a great present for a dog who likes cool stuff, but I wouldn't know.
Great for finding the ball.

I got this as a gift for my parents pup, which starts freaking out if you don't throw the thing, so that when the pup ran away and didn't pay attention to where it was going, we could possibly find it and keep the exercise going.
It is super entertaining to see the black dog running around with a glowing ball, when it get dark that is all you see!
Don't Leave It Alone with Your Husky

My dog loves playing fetch with this ball, &, for that, it's awesome! It's perfect for winter fetch games when daylight is short & there is snow on the ground & other balls are hard to see.
Unfortunately, however; when I let my dog sit & play with it, it took him about 10 seconds to pull off the top & pull the insides out. He was completely unharmed, but it could be dangerous for a dog who is a less picky eater.
Great visibility

We have these little lights laying around all over the place so we can snap one onto Ramsey's collar when he's out at night, especially if he's off leash. We used to just have one on every collar he wears but then he went swimming with them. They do actually withstand quite a bit of water but day after day of swimming and they will finally die.
I've tried changing the batteries in them when they do die and really it's just easier to buy a new one.
Amazingly useful gadget!
PLAY BALL!!! @ night
- Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
I bought this for my aussie in blue who can run for days chasing anything that is thrown in front of him. He loves this ball. It has some great weight to it showing that it is pretty good quality. The only down side to this ball is the light is a little tough to get to turn on until it gets broken in. Also if you have an aggressive chewer like mine is, make sure you keep this ball away from them when you are not throwing it for them because they can chew so hard it pops the light and battery out. Other than that the light is very bright and lasts a long time! I will be getting more of these.

These things are pretty cool. I bought a couple of them. They were great in the snow....kinda. If you have a large dog that chews his/her toys, you may want to rethink snow use. We were out playing with these for the first time in the snow. It was great until one of the balls came back without the plug in it anymore. Thinking the LED would stay in, it got thrown again. Needless to say, the bright blue LED was easy to find. The milky white ball was not...and the plug had to stay in the snow until it melted.
I did test the floating aspect and that worked...so I'm looking forward to the summer with these.
Just make sure the plug is still there each time you throw it. It's not easy to get out, so the dog really would have to take some time to work it out or just get lucky.
Perfect for night and very durable
My dog loves it, and unfortunately, so do the other dogs at the dog park. You do have to give it a good squeeze to turn the light on and off, but it seems by design.
This is such an cool toy!
This is a great ball that allows me to play with my dog later in the evening. He can play for hours! You have to push the button very hard to turn it on!
My dogs LOVE this ball!

I have had other glow in the dark balls for my dogs before but none of them glow like this one. With the short days here in Utah we use this ball a lot more than we thought and our dogs couldn't be happier!
Dog can't get enough of it.
- Familiarity:I've used it several times
I got the blue colored ball. It is great. When I get home from work and it is dark out, I can still play fetch with him. He has no problem seeing it. Much better than a glow in the dark ball., this ball is plenty bright.
FUN FUN FUN

Great website & cool product. Love this ball. Great for playing with my dog during fall/winter. You're able to extend playing time :)
Nite Ize MeteorLight K-9 L.E.D Ball
- Familiarity:I've used it several times
I kids and my dog love to play with this at night.
Coolest ball ever!
Great for playing some fetch in the dark! You have to push the ball pretty hard to get it lit up. The ball is a bright green color so you can easily see it. The rubber is very durable, you are able to change the batteries when they die and it's fairly simple. Great for camping too!
Perfect for Daylight Savings
- Familiarity:I've used it several times
With it dark at 5pm in the winter, poor pooch doesn't get as much after-work play time. UNTIL NOW! I can finally see where I throw the ball, and paired with the light-up collar from Nite Ize I can see my black dog when he is running back to me.
Slight bumm-fest ... the battery was dead when I got it, but cheap easy replacement and works perfect!
Awesome toy

This thing is sweet. It give off a bright blue glow, and it goes forever from a chuck-it. My golden doodle loves it!
Turns your dog into a UFO
This is the coolest toy! My dog and I have been using it in conjunction with the LED collar to play fetch at night in a wooded meadow. It shines through the snow and deep brush so he knows exactly where to dig. It also fits perfectly in a Chuck It so I dont have to get dog slobber all over my hand (it does get very slobbery :-)). The best part is that, as mentioned in a previous review, it makes your dog look like a UFO.
Wanna freak out fellow campers?
Then buy this ball, a glow in the dark collar, and a black lab. Looks like little aliens running every which way. My dog hates the taste, but that just makes fetch easier, she actually drops it. It is really bright which makes finding it and your dog a breeze.
How long does this stay lit after pushing the button? I bought the chuck-it LED ball and it goes off after 20 seconds and I have to push the button every throw.
How do i change the batteries in this ball....
How do i change the batteries in this ball. I can't figure it out?
Hey Leyla, you remove the switch plug to gain access to the batteries... see my pic.
Is this ball the same size as a tennis...
Is this ball the same size as a tennis ball?
Thanks!
Hi there, its a little smaller then a tennis ball:
Nite Ize = Diameter: 2.55" (64.7mm)
Tennis Ball = Diameter: 2.63" (67.0mm)
It still fits into a Chuck-it, even if it's slightly smaller than a tennis ball.
