Worked great for my hammock Sky Tent II

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I used these on my Hammock Bliss Sky Tent II for the floor tie-outs and they were perfect. Strong and easy to adjust. They are plastic, but very light and seem plenty strong. They make adjustment a snap.

    Great value and Very convenient

It seems that guy lines are an after thought for many tent manufacturers. They are either missing from the tent purchase or are garbage. These are quality reflective lines that are lighter weight and more effective than most original equipment guy lines. The figure 9 is a bonus addition to this value of this set. If you are going to buy a nice tent do three things, Buy a footprint, Replace the stock stakes, and upgrade the guy lines.

    Quick & Easy!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Possibly worse than included stakes with a new tent, standard guy lines are horrible.

Luckily, these little beauties work really well and are equally as light as the cheap ones included with most tents. I was a bit skeptical about the strength of the plastic figure 9s, but they have held strong in nasty winds and also are nice and reflective so you don't trip or clothes line yourself.

Perfectly fit my need AND reflective!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I have used nite-ize figure 9s for years, and knew these lines would be a perfect addition to my old Kelty tent as guy-lines. The Kelty-included lines were destroyed long ago, so this was a necessary purchase for me.

However, I didn’t realize upon ordering that these were reflective. Looking at the photos now, I don’t know how I missed that, but there you are. The first night they were setup was awesome as I came around a corner with a light and BAM there's the line. Gone are the days of kids tripping on guy-lines!

I’m a huge fan of tiny little improvements to already great products. Such an easy change, but a huge benefit! Well done Nite-Ize team

These are great for quickly setting up a tarp. They are easy to use and do not require much know how to set up. They hold the lines tightly and even in wind and rain do not let go. I was able to set up my tarp quickly before it started raining by myself with these. Setting up the tarp took the least amount of time and I am sure if I has used knots I would have gotten rained on.

These are simple to use and very light and small. Tents never come with enough guylines and these are great. 8ft is plenty of cord and the rope tightners really work, I have never seen them slip. The uses for these go way beyond tent lines, any time you need to keep a cord tight.

      Secure, Adjustable, Easy and Fast

I'm a fan of tying my own knots, but an adjustable tensioning knot like the taught-line hitch simply slips on nylon ropes. Knots that don't slip at all are not very friendly to adjust.

I use these for making a shelter over my hammock and to make a tarp shelter on the ground with my trekking poles. They are quick, easy, highly adjustable and hold extremely well. I also like the reflective lines they come with.
