Nikwax Tech Wash - 2006 BCS

There were numerous snow & dirt stains on my Convert jacket, and I didn't know if this tech wash would cut it. It did. Tech wash left my jacket, pants and beanie cleaner than the day they were purchased (two years ago) and left the fabrics in great condition to accept the Nikwax wash-in waterproofer. This is top-notch stuff.

I use this on all of my Gore-Tex and waterproof gear. It's great, gets absolutely all the dirt out of my stuff without compromising the waterproofness. Gotta have it if you plan on washing that GTX jacket!

I've used this stuff for 2 seasons (winter) now, and it did the best job of getting the goo and gunk off my 9 and 13 yr old's Patagonia ski coats. Good stuff. Wash first in this, then use the Nik waterproof to add back the DWR. When skiing in Snowbird, my husband said on the "washed" coats the water just beaded up on the surface, and didn't get soaked.

Accidentally did a shirt and it ended up being a little repellant as well. Don't wait till your jacket or pants are Dingy and dirty take action sooner to get longer life out of your investment. Dirt and oil accumulation destroy the waterproof ness of your outfits. Finish up with the TX Direct spray on for best results. Throw in the dryer on a low heat. BUT be careful some materials can melt if the dryer gets too hot.

This is the only stuff I'll use to wash my Gore-Tex clothes. It really does a great job on cleaning all the dirt and stank out of stuff.

I used Tech Wash to clean my Gore-Tex jacket after a week-long trip. This product worked great, not only did it get the stink and dirt out, it kept the water repellency. Later, I made the mistake of washing the jacket with detergent. With the next rain storm, I found out the hard way, Tech Wash is the only way to go. The water repellency of the jacket was shot.
