I would buy the glove wax. I use glove proof on the gloves and wax on the palms, that's just my preference.

The leather palms should be fine with this stuff, it's designed for leather gloves (as well as fabric).

Hey I can't decide what will work better for waterproofing
Hey I can't decide what will work better for waterproofing and extending the life of my leather ski gloves, this product or Nikwax Creme Waterproofing Wax for Leather NIK0059. My gloves do have some synthetic on the wrist part which would be nice to have waterproof but is definitely not necessary. They are 90% leather and I'm most concerned with the actual leather care as both seem to waterproof equally.

I would reccomend this product as it is made specifically for gloves. Other leather products are most likely made for boots and shoes.

Nikwax doesn't disappoint. This stuff is great. Brought my mitts back to brand new. It left a little haze on my black leather palms but that doesn't bother me. It actually helps with the grip. My only complaint is the applicator. Its a weird brush on the end that doesn't really dispense allot of the product. I found my self pushing it in with my finger to get it going.
I have a pair of POW Leather Gloves. Would I wash these in Tech
I have a pair of POW Leather Gloves. Would I wash these in Tech Wash before I treat them with the Glove Proof? I realized my gloves were not fully proofed after a rainy day on the mountain and it was completely soaked...

If the gloves are clean you shouldnt have to, but if you used them in the dirt or with salt ect ect just wipe them down with water. I have learned that you apply Glove Proof heavy, soak them with GP and wait then wipe the extra off.

Hey Dan:I work at Nikwax; we deal with these questions daily. I recommend you wash them before treating them, since dirt attracts water. Once you treat them, you can continue to wash them in Tech Wash and not decrease the DWR or Glove Proof effectivness. You should be able to treat 3-4 pair.BenBen Ben
