Once upon a time, precipitation meant imminent doom for your skate shoes: they'd become water-logged cement bricks with tongues so swollen you'd swear they were a giant sewer rat. Thankfully, the Nike Men's Stefan Janoski Max Mid Shoe is durable, water-resistant solution to what otherwise would be a catastrophic shoe puddle. The Stefan Janoski Max Mid Shoe is crafted with a low-profile rubber cupsole and deep flex grooves for maximum flexibility and agility while the Max Air unit and Lunarlon cushioning at the heel absorbs unwanted impact.

    You call that black?

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

We ordered the Black/Metallic Silver/White/Black pair for our son/step-son for the holidays. The box clearly says "Black/Metallic Silver/White/Black" as do the shoes. But when they were pulled out of the box, there was a clear, definite green color top the shoes. It was not faint. We wrapped the shoes anyway hoping our son/stepson had already seen the color and that is what he wanted. But when he opened the box on Christmas morning....his face clearly had a "WTF?" expression. I honestly think he would have loved these shoes if they were, in fact, black (he never even tried them on - so no comment as to the size). He was not looking for green shoes. If they are designed to have this green tint/sheen, I think the color description needs to updated or corrected.

    Can't Go Wrong With Janoskis.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I am a Janoski fanatic so when I heard Nike was releasing a Janoski Max MID my excitement shot through the roof. I bought the Black/Metallic Silver/White/Black colorway along with the leather version of the same shoe. These are the perfect shoe for a more casual approach to your day. They're light as a feather and extremely comfortable. I would definitely recommend picking a pair up if you're looking for a comfortable everyday shoe. If I had one complaint it's that the white sole comes up a little higher than I'd like on the heel. It appears to have a larger platform than most shoes.

    Really nice

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Picked these up in the Baroque Brown/Laser Crimson/Sail/Black along with the all black leather ones planning on returning one. After getting them both I couldn't pick one over the other and ended up keeping both pair.

They are extremely comfortable which is a must since I am on my feet most of the day. My feet feel great all day long in these.

Any idea how these hold up against snow? Thanks!

I got the Baroque Brown/Laser Crimson/Sail/Black a week or so ago and haven't really been able to test them out in the snow. I think they would be ok in a little bit of light, cold snow to and from work but I wouldn't make it an everyday snow shoe. I think the straight black one looks a little more water resistant.
