All hail the designers at New Balance for giving trail-trouncing ladies the Women's Zero v2 Trail Running Shoe. This virulent beast has a look different than the rest of the zero-drop trail trodders yet lugs deep enough for facility when tree gnashing and rock grinding are the order du jour. When the trails are dry and you need to get your run on, let the Zero v2 take you from the concrete jungle you call home.
The mix of mesh and synthetic suede on top gives this backwoods baby breathability and durability. No-sew material application spirits away blister-starting seams. The heel counter grips the back of your foot so slippage isn't a source of suffering, and it imbues your gait with sure-footed confidence for steep and speedy ascents and descents.
From the tips of your toes the back of your heel, the REVlite foam midsole puts some spring in your step without segregating the front and back of your foot. This midsole doesn't let the ground dissipate the energy of your footstrike so you can bound merrily along your way. The foamy middle also offers some sole protection from the piercing jabs of rocks and other off-road debris. The sticky rubber sole adds some stabilizing security when the ground gets tricky, and 6mm-deep lugs rip into the earth without fear so you stay upright when the path ahead is anything but certain.
