  • Tongue tag doubles as a pin loop for bib storage on race day

Runs a smidge small.

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small

I don't typically wear wide shoes and have never considered myself to have wide feet, but in my usual size 6, these feel snug across the widest part of my foot, and the toe box tapers a bit more than expected. Maybe I've been wearing my wider-toe box Altras too much lately. If I were to try these again, I'd go up to a 6.5, but the size is no longer available. For reference, I'm usually a 6 in New Balance and most other brands of running shoes. Disappointed I won't get to try the 1400 to see what all the hype has been about, I will just have to try it when the next version becomes available.

New Balance WR1400 Running Shoe

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small

This shoe is lightweight and very breathable and have made my long runs more enjoyable. I found this shoe very stable in the heel as well as kept my foot in place with the high lacing. I have never worn New Balance before and found that the sizing ran about a half a size too small. But then again I have a wide foot so maybe thats why I had to size up.

Love these!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I absolutely love these shoes! At first I wasn't too crazy about the colors since I normally wear more natural colors but these shoes fit great. I bought a size 6, which I normally wear and feel they fit true to size. I ran my first 1/2 marathon in them 2 weeks after buying them and had only a small blister in my arch which I believe is due to the fact that I had been training in minimalist trail running shoes. I highly recommend these shoes! (Plus, they're way faster than any other ones ;)

Love these!
