Inspired by Good Form Running and designed to be a multi-sport shoe that you can wear with or without socks, the New Balance Men's MO10 Minimus Hiking Shoe lets you navigate difficult trails all year long. Made with a minimalist, water-resistant upper, an Acteva midsole, and a Vibram outsole, the Minumus brings you the benefits of barefoot running without exposing your toes to trail shrapnel. New Balance used its MNL-1 last with a 4mm heel-to-toe drop and a broad forefoot to promote natural forefoot splay for runners with midfoot-striking gaits.

  • Acteva midsole provides tons of flexibility and light cushioning
  • Synthetic and mesh upper is soft, pliable, highly breathable, and water-resistant
  • Vibram outsole delivers underfoot sensitivity, low-bulk traction, and durability
  • Antimicrobial footbed neutralizes odor-causing bacteria

tearin it up!

  • Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
  • Fit:True to size

My buddy has owned a pair of these for two years and they are all he wears. We have gone backpacking with them, cliff jumping, motorcycle riding, running, done the spartan race.. As you can imagine, he used and abused these things and continued to wear them even though they were literally falling off of him. Well.. he recently had a birthday and I was tired of seeing his toes stickin through the holes in his current setup, so I snagged him a new pair. He absolutely loves these things and will prob end up wearing a pair to the grave.

Just like the rest of the series

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This is the same as the other M 10's just with a more stout upper fabric. Should get the job done just fine if you like this series of shoes. The main advantage these have, I think, is they have very very comfortable patches at the heal and toe and the rest of the fabric is pretty great too. If you run barefoot, I think these are the way to go for this series of minimus shoes. I didn't notice much of a breathability issue with these shoes. Unfortunately, I really need a 12.5 instead of a 13 for that close, barefoot fit, so these had to go back.

These look awesome and light, but how durable are they?

I'm pretty sure these are mt10s with a different mesh upper & dwr, and if that's the case, they are quite durable - mine have a few hundred miles on them & lots of daily wear. The lugs are all still good, slightly worn over mid foot & a bit on the heel, other than that, just slight wear along the sides of the metatarsal band from brush, but just cosmetic. Get them, your legs will quit before they do!
