Never Summer T5 Snowboard - 2006 BCS

This is by far the best of the best. I have been riding for 17 years, and have never ridden a board of this quality. This is definitely not a beginner board. This thing is extremely fast and turns on a dime if needed in all conditions, both powder and groomers. It is the one board that kept me pushing it to find its limits where other boards would get choppy or noodely. It does prefer the deep stuff and big, arching powder turns, but I found it to perform equally well on the pack if you are a strong rider. Some complained about the ability of this board on the groomers, but I strongly disagree. It will punch through most anything, and cuts the crud in choppy terrain where other boards I have ridden get tossed around. Definitely not for the park due to the still torsional and lateral flex. For advanced riders that appreciate a high performance big mountain board, though, this is it!

Like all the Never Summer boards I have ridden this is a tank. Can destroy anything and is impossible to destroy. I love the three year warranty they company gives it. This can really turn quick when needed but does the best in the deep stuff and long big turns. It loves to go fast and can handle cruddy snow very well. Not the best for the groomers or hard packed snow in general.

This is a stiff deck. Very good on big bomb runs, but in tech stuff the stiffness works against you because it doesn't turn that great. This is my hike board, for the fresh pow.

I demoed this board before I bought it and was very happy. It rides amazing at speed, on steeps and in powder. It also is easy on landings off of cornices and cliffs. Turns quickly on bumps but likes to go fast with long, arching turns better. A day later went back to the other board and was greatly disappointed. This board lives up to the description of Big Mountain/Freeride style board. Very smooth and a joy to ride, would definately recommend it.
