A quiver of one.
With Never Summer's most technologically advanced core, an Original Rocker Camber profile, and a perfect balance of liveliness and shock absorption, the Never Summer SL Snowboard is the most versatile board in their line and, not surprisingly, the most popular. Tired of trying to figure out which board to take to the mountain for the snow conditions? Tired of picking the wrong one? Just strap the SL to your feet and you've made the right choice every time.
The NS Custom Flightcore fuses premium hardwood and ultralight softwood
laminates with vertically-layered RDS 2 elastomeric dampers that actually
increase vibration absorption as you go faster, while maintaining
incredible pop and response. Never Summer's Original Rocker Camber profile features rocker between the bindings for a catch-free feel on hardpack and float in pow, with camber outside the bindings to maintain pop and power. Dual carbon Vs in the laminate help transfer more energy to the tip and tail for better response without making the board too stiff for buttering and pressing. Never Summer's signature Vario Power Grip sidecut uses additional contact points to help you hold and edge on even the iciest of slopes.
- Rocker between the inserts with camber outside the bindings
- Twin shape
- Vario Power Grip sidecut
- Carbon VXR laminate and Bi-Lite fiberglass
- RDS 2 dampening system
- NS Custom Flightcore wood core
- Durasurf XT sintered base
- Matte topsheet

I ordered the 153cm and wear a 8.5 Mens US boots. My toe is hanging off at least 2 in! Is this not too much overhang? Is the 153cm less wide than the 155?

IF I have a size 12 boot, will this board work or will I need a wide board?
You will want a wide board.
Absolutely go wide! Anybody rocking a boot US Men's size 11 or larger will appreciate the extra width.

im really liking this board. The only concern i have is the stance setback. How much will it affect me in the park if i ride switch? and how will it hold up on icy conditions
You will probably notice the stance setback if you ride it switch, and Never Summer boards are not really meant for much park riding because they are so stiff and don't have much pop. On icy conditions though, this board will definitely be solid.
never summer boards are fine on park, get proto hd (or hdx)
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
After about ten years of telemark skiing, I jumped onto a NS-SL for a day of deep powder riding with friends. This board brought back memories: floating through trees, throwing roostertails, bashing bumps, hucking and ducking. What a blast!
Don't wait just buy it now!!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I can not say enough good things about this board. I am a diehard Never Summer lover and am glad i added this to the arsenal. I have a EVO for park and stuff along those lines and this SL for everything else. If you can have one board to use in every condition I would recommend this one. NS are solid boards and the 3 year manufacturer warranty says it all. I think they need to step up there graphic game but other than that perfect. Get yourself one NOW.

On the never summer website the color of the 2014 SL base is green with a black eagle. Is Dogfunk selling a different SL as pictured here with a black base and green eagle?
The base colors are assorted for the SL. Some of them are black with a green eagle and some are green with a black eagle. They do this in order to not waste materials as the predominantly green one uses the cutouts from the predominantly black one and vice versa.
