I absolutely love this board, by far the favorite board I have ever ridden. I let my friend, who just bought a new K2 Fastplant this season, ride my board for a while while I was working, now he was almost begging me to trade boards with him. The board is super stable at high speed, flexible, but not a piece of rubber, super poppy, and stable on jumps. This board also has great edge hold with the R.C. tech (rocker with camber), it rides on ice much better than my old board. Overall, there is NOTHING I do not like about this board, other than I scratched the base... but like I said the BEST board I have ever ridden.

Is this board a directional or a full twin?

twin-directional :)

This board is wet dream worthy. A little set back, but almost galore. And made in Denver! Can't really go wrong with Never Summer and this board is magical!

Great Board!

This is a great board, it is my first time riding the new camber rocker system and it took me a couple of runs to figure it out. It turns a lot quicker than any other board I have rode in the past. It is super stable at high speeds it cuts out all the chatter. The extra bit of flex in the tail and nose gives you a nice little jib off of jumps I have gone higher than I have before which is nice and a bit surprising at first. This board is loads of fun!

you're gonna love this.....

one of the best boards you'll ever ride - period!ridden quite a few never summers but this is the first one i've bought. for info i'm 6'3" 200lbs, size US11 boots and i got the 161. it's perfect for shredding hard, jumps and park. haven't ridden pow yet but i know it's gonna slay it!get one and enjoy the whole mountain!

oh yeah - and a 3 year warranty and built in denver not china!

I'm trying to decide between the NS SL-R,...

I'm trying to decide between the NS SL-R, the NS Evo and one of the K2 Free Style Boards (either the Dream or Believer). I'm an intermediate boarding that is starting to get down black and bowls but I have a Burton Custom 08/09 for carving. I want a freestyle board that can do park and carve as well as I start to learn how to start doing more trick riding. Any suggestions? Also...what size should I get (I'm 5'9" and 160lbs) and any suggestions for bindings?

havent ridden this years slr which i heard is stiffer from last years. But if you want an all mountain board to play around with hit every bump along the trail and still have the stability to bomb down the mountain or hop on the terrain park and hit some big jumps you'll be good with the slr. If you feel like doing tricks and hitting the rails and boxes your better off with the evo-r. If I recall the evo wasnt as stable as the slr bombing down the hill. Slr is all around a good board for doing everything, minus rails.. not the greatest. If you just want to do runs and hit a bunch of the jumps the sl-r will do you well. Id suggest the 155 and Im a fan of the ride bindings so something like the rx or spi where its not super stiff but still responsive when your bombing a run.

I'm 5'9" and 160lbs too. I just bought the SLR 153 a couple of weeks ago. I've been upto mammoth a couple of times and LOVE this board. i used to ride a 2007 burton custom. This board allows me to do so much more than the custom did. It did nag me a bit in the chop, but still handled better than i thought it would in the chop. Overall i love the SLR. I think i'm pretty much in the same boat as you, im intermediate and learning to do tricks which were pretty difficult for me to do with my custom. Been upto mammoth twice and am already way better... feel like the custom was limiting me a bit but it could just be that i'm better and more aggressive now. All in all, i recommend the SLR. GO and BUY it, its a legit board.

Also definitely get the 153 over the 155. The NS technology allows you to ride smaller or thats what NS says. I'm 5'9" riding the 153. Pretty smooth and i can whip it around pretty quick. Good luck buddy.

I rock 09 burton Ions size 12 and they claim that the footprint is that of a size 11. What would work, better the SL-R or the Legacy-R?

I want to make sure that i will get a SL-R with the neon green base and was wondering if there was a way to make sure that i get that.

I asked dogfunk this question during my purchase and they said all SL-R's this year (09/10) were neon green bases, but guess I'll find out tonight when it gets delivered.
