    Freakishly versatile.

Whether you wake up to a perfect sunny park day or two feet of fresh with more on the way, you'll be ready to ride with the Never Summer Proto HD Snowboard. This shred-everything board features a versatile profile, a medium flex, and pop-enhancing features to help you slay everything from street rails and park jumps to technical steeps and bottomless powder.

Camber underfoot provides the edge hold and power needed to boost jumps and lay down carves, while rocker between the bindings gives it a forgiving feel and helps it float in the deep stuff. Plus, extended transition zones at the main contact points allow for effortless edge-to-edge transitioning. Multiple radii along the Vario Power Grip sidecut create extra contact points for reliable edge hold on icy slopes, and the twin shape lets you take off and land switch.

The RDS 2 damping system offers a smooth ride when you're riding through chunder and gives the board high-speed stability. Sustainably-harvested poplar is fused with hardwood birch to create an incredibly lightweight, yet durable, core. Bi-Lite fiberglass gives it a smooth, consistent flex, while a dual top-and-bottom carbon matrix channels energy for incredible power underfoot. Sintered P-Tex sidewalls maintain integrity at cold temperatures so they won't crack when you gap to boardslide or land backseat on a frosty afternoon. The Carbonium topsheet is chip-resistant and sheds snow, and it has a texture that is grippier than standard topsheets for better traction when you're pushing one-footed. It's finished off with an extremely durable, high-density Durasurf XT sintered 5501 base that has graphite added to keep you hauling at high speeds into jumps or across traverses.

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I bought this board to replace my 2010 Never Summer SL as my do everything board. I couldn't be more stoked! It butters like a champ, and the mid flex provides just enough tail response when you get a little rowdy . The carbonium topsheet makes the board quite light as well, so even though I sized up 2 cm from my previous board, I barely noticed a thing. I haven't got to ride it in powder quite yet, but with the blunt nose/tail I anticipate it will have plenty of float.
