Your shredding prospects just got a lot better.

In theory, the benefits of splitboarding have never been in question, it's just that in practice they used to be slow going up and unreliable on the way down. Things have come a long way since those first homemade DIY projects, and the new Never Summer Prospector Split Snowboard is proof that splitboards can charge through gnarly terrain just as well as a regular board.

The Extended Tour Rocker Camber profile takes Never Summer's patented RC profile and adds a small flat section in the middle of the rocker zone to increase skin contact for better traction when hiking up. A directional shape with a setback stance and a tapered tail keeps your nose up in the deep stuff and increases turning power in the tail. Carbonium Laminate Technology uses an advanced carbon matrix in the fiberglass to reduce weight while increasing response and strength. The Carbonium Damping System uses rubber foils to absorb vibrations without sacrificing response, giving you a smooth ride even when you're cruising through tracked-out snow and down hardpack trails. Never Summer's signature Vario Power Grip sidecut uses additional contact points to help you hold and edge on even the iciest of slopes.

Stiffest board i own

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

this thing is pretty awesome, i seriously think with my new spark bindings that this is the stiffest board i own, and i ride a 162 burton custom x with driver x boots. unfortunately the California snow gods weren't too nice this winter so i've been out on it just a few times, but it rides amazing. i cant wait to abuse this baby!
