King of the mountain.

The Never Summer Prospector Splitboard conquers high-alpine cirques, low-angle pow stashes, and everything in between with its tapered directional shape, extensive dampening, and bombproof construction. This big-mountain charger keeps you floating through the deepest snow you can find, thanks to a healthy dose of tapering (20-millimeters) and spaded shape, allowing the tail to sink while its low-profile nose planes over bottomless pow like a champ.

Designed with an Extended Tour Rocker Camber profile, the Prospector Split uses a very similar profile to boards like the Snowtrooper and Proto HD, with rocker underfoot, camber extending to the tip and tail contacts, and ride-smoothing Extended Transitions continuing to its low-profile tip and tail. However, this design is slightly altered for better uphill traction when you're skinning, thanks to a flat zone located underneath the touring brackets. This flat zone increases skin contact for less slip when you're touring, yet it doesn't compromise the board's downhill performance, as the rocker underfoot is preserved for maximum powder floatation.

Loaded with a SuperLight wood core, the Prospector Split is designed to conserve energy when you're skinning up an exhaustive uphill slog. Its RDS 1+ Dampening system uses twice the amount of elastomeric rubber foil as the usual RDS 1 Dampening, giving the Prospector Split the most extensive dampening in Never Summer's line-up (along with the Chairman). Additionally, its sintered P-tex inner and outer sidewalls maintain their integrity in subzero conditions, unlike conventional ABS sidewalls that have a tendency to crack when it's bitterly cold. This helps your splitboard retain its strength over time, especially when you clank 'em together in touring mode.
