Description

What Never Summer is all about.

The mid-stiff, ultra-damp Never Summer Premier F1 Snowboard is built for tackling huge lines on bigger mountains. The Premier easily smashes through crud and rules hardpack with carbon stringers for tons of power at the edges. Elastomer stringers take care of vibration to give you more control and reduce rider fatigue. All this combined with Never Summer's legendary durability make the Premier a force that's a blast to reckon with.

  • Never Summer's patented Rocker and Camber (R.C.) profile puts rocker under and between your bindings for float and forgiveness with camber toward the tip and tail for powerful turns and control on hardpack
  • Carbon V-Twin Technology places carbon stringers in a ‘v’ shape at the nose and two ‘v’s’ at the tail. This increases stiffness where you need it for more edge power and control
  • F1 elastomeric stringers absorb vibration and increase damping for better control
  • Multi-Flex Flightcore combines hardwoods and lightweight softwoods with elastomer stringers for light weight and vibration damping
  • STS pretensioned fiberglass is a pre-hardened, layered laminate with elastomer stringers the length of the effective edge for added strength, edge hold, and performance
  • Bi-Lite fiberglass provides added strength with a super-light glass fiber matrix
  • Ultra-durable Sintered P-Tex Sidewalls maintain strength at any temperature to eliminate cracking
  • Durasurf XT Sintered graphite-infused base for ridiculous speed
  • P-Tex tip and tail protection reduces damage in an impact. No more splinters

In my quest for the perfect board, I landed upon the Premier F1. After riding the NS Heritage the last 2 years, which was very close to the ultimate board for me, expectations were high.

Similar to the Heritage, the F1 has great flex and is very playful as a freestyle board. Nice pop on the tip and tail, and a very stable feel when landing either way. Both boards ride exceptionally well in powder thanks to the rocker and camber.

Where the F1 really shines is when you're not playing, when you're blasting down the hill in soft/hard pack. At low speeds both turn well, however when you start going faster I found the Heritage would wash out the end of turns rather than staying on edge.

The F1 has really proven to handle this very well. It's a little stiffer, and built a little differently, and while those changes do little to change the fun factor of this board (again, compared to the Heritage) they really improve the carving and riding that goes on in between powder turns.

The Heritage was the best board I had ever ridden (loved the Lib Tech Dark Series C2BTX but too heavy) but now that title falls to the Premier F1. If you're a freerider who enjoys going fast in all conditions, but still want to ride switch and mix in some tricks on your way down the hill, you'll enjoy this board.
