The Never Summer Legacy Snowboard’s extra width accommodates your size 11+ boots without dragging your toes through the snow or sacrificing agility. This all-mountain board’s R.C. Technology combines a custom rocker profile for a softer feel in the middle than under foot to create a hinge point for manuals and nose presses. This combined with separate camber areas at each end provides unmatched power and snap out of turns. The Vario Power Grip sidecut increases edgehold from binding-to-binding which gives you added control and response. The Carbon VXM system rocks a stiff torsional flex with a softer tip and tail that’s forgiving in the pow, responsive on the groomers, and stable through the chutes. Never Summer gave the Legacy a directional tip for your freestyle riding, a Durasurf sintered 4501 base to keep your speed through the gnar, and the RDS 3 damping system to reduce chatter on hard-pack.

Bottom Line: You know what they say about big feet.

I have size 10 1/2 boots, and can't deceide between this and the heritage. I like the idea of the reverse camber but not sure if getting a first generation anything is a good idea. I like riding everything but really enjoy the mogoul fields (guess it's from my skiing roots) and I'm worried because it's a mid wide and won't be as fast edge to edge. Any thoughts would help.

if you look at the waist width it's actually a full wide board. I have one and i can tell you it is wide, not mid-wide. Try an SL-R, it has the waist width of a mid-wide

Rockers rock

I've put 10 days on my legacy-r and at this point it is the best board I've ever owned. It's stable at any speed and holds edges on any terrain. Having owned top of the line boards from burton, lib-tech, arbor, K2 and others I can say that the rocker that Never Summer has put in on their boards is the most significant improvement I have seen in snowboard development in the past 5 years. The fact that Never Summer gives a 3 year warranty can't be over looked either. I went back and forth between this and Lib Tech's skunk ape and it was Never Summer's warranty that sold me. I loved my old Lib Tech but it was dead after a season and a half. With the rocker keeping your nose and tail up you can go down a size and not get bogged down in powder. Or you can keep the same size and hit powder like you were on a larger board, which is what I would recommend.

Best board I have ever ridden

By:
December 9, 2008

I've been snowboarding for 12 years. Up until this year I've been riding a wide board. I purchased the legacy after doing a lot of research. Its moderate width is perfect, and is much more responsive than my previous snowboards. The rocker helps a great deal in the powder. As opposed to leaning way back to prevent a nose dive, you can stay more centered on the board, which more comfortable and gives you more control. I highly recommend this board and also the gnu riders choice btx. Rocker/banana boards are the latest and greatest out there, do not make the mistake of buying a new snowboard that doesn't have this technology!
