Ever wanted to take your park board out on powder laps? How about spin and press through the park on your all-mountain ripper? The Never Summer Evo 4.0 Snowboard turns these shred dreams into reality with its freestyle-specific shape and all-mountain versatility. Designed as a true twin, the Evo 4.0 is just as comfortable riding switch as regular, allowing you to dial-in your spins and rail tricks with ease. Its Rocker Camber profile gives you a playful, buttery feel between the bindings for catch-free jibbing and unreal float in powder, yet it doesn't sacrifice stability or pop, thanks to cambered zones at the tip and tail contacts.

Offered as Never Summer's softest board, the Evo 4.0 has a Press Flex core that's softest between the bindings for boosting ollies and pressing with ease. However, just because the board is an all-out park slayer doesn't mean it can't shred the entire mountain. Case in point, its vibration-dampening Elastomeric Underfoot Stabilizers keep the board from chattering like a noodle at high speeds. Further consider its Carbon VXR laminates that add tip and tail response without stiffening its mid-section. Plus, the board's Vario Power Grip sidecut cuts into hardpack and ice without slipping, allowing you to ride through icy parks and cleanly scraped steeps without sliding out.

  • True twin shape
  • Low profile tip and tail
  • Rocker Camber (rocker underfoot, camber just after inserts)
  • Press Flex core (softer between bindings)
  • Elastomeric Underfoot Stabilizers
  • Carbon VXR laminates
  • Vario Power Grip sidecut
  • Durasurf XT Sintered 4501 base

Here's what others have to say...

How well would this do on a spring/icy East Coast condition? I do like to give a soft board a try, but I am unsure of how this would do on those icy conditions. Thanks!

Hey Yohan Hong

It would be a fine on the ice as long as you stick to groomers. Anywhere besides the groomers you will see some chatter in the board which can promote catching an edge. If you are looking for a solid board all mountain and condition board I would look into the Never Summer Cobra Board.

I hope that this helps and let us know if you need any more help.

How well would this board do out of the park on the mountain, on moguls, steep downhills, and groomed runs?

Hey Daniel Cohen,

It's a little on the soft side but it can be used on groomers and in the backcountry. It offers camber with rocker underfoot so it will float well in the powder and is equipped Elastomeric Underfoot Stabilizers which keeps the board from chattering at high speeds.

Awesome board

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Nice board for running freeride lines or the park. Even though it has very light feel to it, it still rode great and responded well. This board will take you anywhere you wanna go. However, because of the light feel, this board took a little while for me to adapt to, but once I got it down, it rode awesome.

Best board i have had the chance to ride

If you want a board that is going to be a blast in the park but can also handle pow runs with no problem then this is the board for you. I have been riding the 2012 model for the past few seasons and i still dont plan on changing it up anytime soon.
